I was practicing yesterday and @hurricanenita was holding him. He was just watching with love in his eyes, smiling,moving, and laughing …completely melted my heart melt. I sat him behind the drums and he grabbed the stick and was trying to hit the drums. I’m honestly at such a loss for words and …truly heartbroken… still trying to process it and I guess there are just some things in life we’ll never understand. @RjMitte was such a sweet guy. So humble, funny, down to earth, and genuinely had the biggest heart. He was a huge advocate for performers with disabilities. He was always smiling, always laughing, and just wanted to have a good time! I met him through our mutual friend @badboycraven and we hit it off right away. I don’t really watch T.V. or had never seen Breaking Bad (I think we met around the last season), but everywhere we went, people would flock to him. I used to joke with him, “Damn, I guess this show is a pretty big deal, huh?!?” 😂 It wasn’t until I finally watched it a few years ago that I realized just how incredible it was and how great he was as well. But, you would never know it hanging out with him. Zero ego.Never once played that card or acted like he was better than anyone. We bonded over our love for music and concerts. He was always so supportive of everything @hurricanenita and I did. We had so many great nights out together, concerts we went to, endless laughs, and great conversations. The last time we saw each other earlier this year at Corey’s birthday party, we got to catch up and were sharing how happy we were for each other. He was so excited about everything he was doing for the kids in Brownsville and wanted us to come down. He just seemed so happy... and that’s the part I’m having such a hard time wrapping my head around. I just never imagined something like this would happen... He was so loved by everyone who knew him. You really never know what someone is going through or what they may be struggling with behind closed doors. My heart goes out to his Mom, sister, family, and all his friends. The 1st pic was our last time together and that’s how it always was…all smiles and laughs. He was truly one of the good ones…. I’m gonna miss you man. Till we meet again my friend… If you’re ever struggling and feel like you have nobody to talk to, please reach out to someone you love. Really excited to finally share this… After a few test runs playing together at Rams games, I’ve officially been brought on to join @hurricanenita this season as she kicks off her 7th season with the @RamsNFL ! The Rams organization has been so amazing to Nita and I over the years and getting the opportunity to officially be part of the game day experience alongside her is a huge honor for me. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the Rams family and excited for this year. I’ve been lucky enough to share a lot of stages and create some incredible moments with Nita over the years, but getting to do this together in an NFL stadium is pretty awesome. I have some cool ideas in mind and I can’t wait for the fans to see and hear what we bring to the stadium this season. Happy Birthday to @tripleh ! I can’t say enough great things about him. I’m incredibly thankful that he believed in what we were doing from day one…long before we even had a record deal. That kind of belief and support is something I’ll always be grateful for. He’s genuinely one of the nicest, most humble people you’ll meet. One day I’ll share the story…but back in 2001, when I was just a kid from Louisiana with a dream…,he taught me one of the most important life lessons. It wasn’t through advice or a conversation.
