2025 Certified Organic Farming data are now available - including statistics on acreage, production, and sales data for a variety of organic crop and livestock commodities as well as organic marketing and agricultural practices. ➡️ nass.usda.gov/go/organic

Sales of certified organic commodities continued to increase, up 28% in 2025 compared with the previous certified organic survey in 2021. The number of operations producing certified organic commodities was up by 3%.

The top states with the largest number of organic operations were California (3,214), Wisconsin (1,427), New York (1,351), and Pennsylvania (1,195). No other state had more than 1,000 certified organic farms.
