Formisch v1 is here. 🎁 A schema-first form library for 8 frameworks: React, Vue, Svelte, Solid, Angular, Qwik, Preact & React Native. ✅ One Valibot schema = types + validation ✅ Native performance across all 8 frameworks ✅ Headless — works with your existing UI ✅ Bundle size starts at just 2.5 kB After a lot of work, Formisch is officially stable. formisch.dev/blog/formisch-v…

Valibot made it into the OpenAI Agents SDK. 🔥 Thank you for implementing the Standard JSON Schema spec!
OpenAI Agents SDK for TS now supports Standard Schema. This means you can use not only Zod, but also any other schema library compatible with the spec, such as Valibot. See openai.github.io/openai-agen… for details! 👋

Looks like I am the strongest non-compiled option in these benchmarks 👀
Some alternatives (compiled Zod, Ajv, Valibot and Typebox) were suggested in the replies for reducing Zod's memory usage, so I tested them against a workload similar to our own service, where a JSON request can reach roughly 5 MB. I pushed the benchmark further using a fully synthetic ~50 MB payload containing 10k reports. Takeaways from this workload: → Ajv and compiled Zod with separate normalization performed best; both reduced validation time by roughly two-thirds and used about 60% less adjusted peak memory than current Zod’s native-transform path. → Native Zod transforms were slower and used more memory than validating first and normalizing in a separate pass. → TypeBox's native-transform path was the biggest outlier: roughly x32 slower than TypeBox with separate normalization. Probably I've messed up there with something, but did not bother to check; I want footgun risk also be shown. → Security, unrelated to performance: Ajv and Typebox leak prototype keys while validating loose objects. While this is not considered a direct vulnerability, it does increase the risk of prototype pollution. This type of protection should be enabled by default in JS runtime validators, as they can be placed in front of external APIs.

We improved the Valibot docs for coding agents. Expect that generating Valibot schemas will get even better going forward. We also implemented an MCP server that you can give to your agent.

I still genuinely think that if you're using Hono, you should be using Valibot instead of Zod The point of Hono is to be really small, and Zod defeats the purpose

Same data, many shapes: DB row, sanitized frontend object, flat LLM struct. Migrations and data transformations can be hard, but they don't have to be. With doba and Valibot, you can define them in a smart, type-safe way. Check out the guest post by Karol Broda on our blog: valibot.dev/blog/same-data-d…

Introducing Flue — The First Agent Harness Framework Flue is a TypeScript framework for building the next generation of agents, designed around a built-in agent harness. Flue is like Claude Code, but 100% headless and programmable. There's no baked in assumption like requiring a human operator to function. No TUI. No GUI. Just TypeScript. But using Flue feels like using Claude Code. The agents you build act autonomously to solve problems and complete tasks. They require very little code to run. Most of the "logic" lives in Markdown: skills and context and AGENTS.md. Flue is like Astro or Next.js for agents (not surprising, given my background 🙃). It's not another AI SDK. It's a proper runtime-agnostic framework. Write once, build, and deploy your agents anywhere (Node.js, Cloudflare, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, etc). We originally built Flue to power AI workflows inside of the Astro GitHub repo. But then @_bgiori got his hands on it, and we realized that every agent needs a framework like Flue, not just us. Check it out! It's early, but I'm curious to hear what people think. Are agents ready for their library -> framework moment?

From the beginning we have paid special attention to a great DX besides our API. That's why we quickly reached a 100% JSR score. Thank you @jsr_io for recognizing these efforts.

.@valibot is pretty cool. We started using it in the @saucedopen app codebase recently. app.opensauced.pizza/s/fabia…
