𝗗𝗖𝗜 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞𝗦𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 In an atmosphere of faith, fellowship and gratitude, officers and their families from Kenya’s Uniformed and Disciplined Services gathered yesterday, 7 November 2026, at the Holy Family Minor Basilica in Nairobi for the Annual Joint Prayers and Thanksgiving Service. Officers from the National Police Service (NPS), comprising the Kenya Police Service (KPS), Administration Police Service (APS) and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), joined their counterparts from the Kenya Prisons Service, Kenya Wildlife Service, Kenya Forest Service and National Youth Service in a collective expression of faith and thanksgiving. Presided over by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Garissa and Chaplain-in-Charge of the Uniformed and Disciplined Services Chaplaincy, Rt. Rev. George Muthaka, the service was anchored on the theme, “Be Strong and Steadfast, for the Lord your God is with you” (Joshua 1:9). In his sermon, Bishop Muthaka urged officers to cultivate an attitude of gratitude, reminding them that “gratitude is the best attitude.” He encouraged them to count their blessings rather than their losses, while seeking divine wisdom and strength to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, integrity and humility. The Bishop further underscored the significance of the uniform as a symbol of identity, discipline and authority, calling on officers to wear it with honour and uphold its dignity through responsible conduct. He challenged them to remain agents of peace, integrity and reconciliation within their communities. Addressing the congregation as Chief Guest, the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja Kirocho, MGH, CBS, OGW, reflected on the profound relevance of the year's theme to the realities of policing, which demands courage amid uncertainty, resilience in the face of persistent challenges and conviction when making difficult decisions. He expressed gratitude to God for His protection and guidance throughout a year marked by dedication, sacrifice and demanding national service, noting that faith remains an important source of strength for officers and their families. The Inspector-General also commended the Church, through the Chaplaincy, for its continued spiritual nourishment, counselling and psychosocial support to officers and their families, acknowledging the vital role these interventions play in sustaining their resilience and well-being amid the demands of service. Beyond prayer and thanksgiving, the gathering provided a valuable opportunity for inter-service fellowship, strengthening bonds of camaraderie and solidarity among officers united by a common mission to serve and protect the nation. Also present were the Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr. Patrick Aranduh; the Principal Deputy to the Deputy Inspector General–KPS, Mr. Patrick Tito, SAIG; the Commandant, Border Police Unit, Mr. Davis Lomwatu, SAIG; the Director, Forensic Laboratory–DCI, Mr. Sospeter Munyi, SAIG; the GSU Commandant, Mr. Johana Tonui, SAIG; and the Director of Operations–KPS, Mr. Philip Opiyo, SAIG, among other senior officers from the uniformed and disciplined services.

The arrests follow a spate of motor vehicle thefts in Nanyuki and its environs, prompting detectives to intensify investigations and close in on the suspected criminals. The suspects, John Nderitu alias Charles Muriuki, Peter Machoka Nyangau and Gedion Mutugi, were arrested at Naiberi Centre while driving the stolen vehicle, a Toyota Probox registration number KBP 492F, to Uganda. The vehicle had been reported stolen on the night of November 3–4, 2026, in Nanyuki. The three suspects are in custody and are expected to be arraigned at the Nanyuki Law Courts to face charges of stealing a motor vehicle, contrary to Section 278A of the Penal Code. Meanwhile, detectives are pursuing further leads to identify and apprehend other members of the suspected criminal network. #FichuaKwaDCI. Cybertruck made every other truck look like it was playing it safe. The stainless steel. The shape. The willingness to build something that looked nothing like anything else on the road. Love it or hate it, nobody could ignore it. If this really is the end of the line, I’m sad. I love mine, and I wanted to see how far Tesla could take it. We need more vehicles that dare to be different. Not fewer.

Tesla Cybertruck will not drop in value. It will just keep increasing. ⭐️ @Tesla
The Tesla Cybertruck order backlog is currently far more than we can make before dismantling the line for Cybercab expansion around June/July next year. We will add an extra shift to try to get all orders done in time.
