While actively working 🧑💻on preparing the release for @GIMP_Official 3.2.0 RC2, I also took some time to plan ahead the future of GIMP.
This is how I came up with 2 roadmaps for versions 3.4 and 3.6.

1995-11-21: two US students, Peter Mattis and Spencer, Kimball announce "The GIMP: the General Image Manipulation Program".
1997: they graduate and leave. Thanks to the #GPL license, the community take over development.
ALT Cake which the GIMP team shared during their last Wilber Week event, for the 30th birthday party of GIMP. Actual 30th birthday is on November 21, 2025 (GIMP was first announced in 1995). This image was also used for GIMP 3.1.4 (development version).
While FOSDEM has not uploaded our keynote recording yet unfortunately (technical issues: our movie is CC by-sa, their recordings are usually CC by), we uploaded the recording of the movie screening + live music (cine-concert) at least for our patrons:

We uploaded for our patrons the video in the state of #ZeMarmot short as of the day of our #keynote at #FOSDEM. This is the exact same video we showed, except that sound-wise, we only had sound effect, and 3 musicians were on stage for live music!
