Congratulations to ADL's VP of Education, Ariel Behrman, on her well-deserved appointment to @GovKathyHochul's New York State Holocaust Memorial Advisory Commission! Having helped advance the legislation behind this initiative, we at ADL are especially proud to see Ariel contribute to this important effort to honor Holocaust victims and survivors, educate future generations and stand against antisemitism and intolerance. jewishinsider.com/2026/10/ho…

The UN Commission of Inquiry’s new report repeats a familiar pattern: sweeping “genocide” claims on thin evidence, with barely a word on Hamas’s atrocities. That rhetoric continues to put Jews everywhere at risk of being targeted, harassed and sometimes even killed while being called "baby killers." The UN and the Human Rights Council need reform, which is why ADL and the J7 Task force have called on states to elect a new Secretary-General committed to restoring the UN’s credibility and accountability. Campus leaders have been asked to make fast, high-stakes decisions about incidents, protests, and classroom conduct, often without adequate training. This program closes that gap. Free from ADL and @GratzCollege: adl.org/resources/press-rele…

No one should have to navigate antisemitism alone. That's why ADL launched "When Antisemitism Comes to Class," a new initiative addressing antisemitism in classrooms, curricula, and faculty spaces: adl.org/when-antisemitism-co…
I often hear from Jewish students who are afraid to identify as Zionist, speak up in class, or challenge a professor’s claims about Israel because they fear the consequences. That’s why @ADL launched "When Antisemitism Comes to Class," a new initiative to address antisemitism in classrooms, curricula, and faculty spaces. Check it out now: adl.org/when-antisemitism-co…

Today, Israelis head to the polls to elect the 26th Knesset. Those who spread antisemitic tropes and demonize Israel ignore what election day shows: a Jewish and democratic state where citizens of all backgrounds vote, serve in the Knesset and openly debate the country's future.

It's been 8 years since a gunman opened fire during Shabbat morning services at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, murdering 11 innocent people and injuring 7 others. The attack marked the deadliest act of antisemitism in U.S. history. Today, the heartbreak of that horrific day remains. 11 innocent lives were stolen and an entire community was forever changed. We continue to mourn those so mercilessly taken from this world simply because they were Jewish. May the memories of Rose Mallinger, Jerry Rabinowitz, Joyce Fienberg, Irving Younger, Melvin Wax, Sylvan Simon, Bernice Simon, David Rosenthal, Cecil Rosenthal, Richard Gottfried, and Daniel Stein forever be a blessing.

Jewish students in London, Ontario had a Nazi swastika targeting their homes. Grateful to Chabad at @WesternU for supporting them and to @lpsmediaoffice for acting quickly. We join our J7 partner @CIJAinfo in urging Canada to enforce hate laws and act decisively on campus radicalization.
Joint Statement by CIJA and London Jewish Federation: Targeting the homes of Jewish students outside Western University with a Nazi swastika was not only an act of antisemitism, but also an attack on the inclusive, democratic values that all Canadians share. We are proud of the students who responded with solidarity and defiance, affirming their Jewish identity and promptly engaging authorities. We commend London Police for swiftly arresting and charging the perpetrator with a hate-motivated offence under the Combatting Hate Act, important legislation our community helped advance. But enforcement must be consistent nationwide and extremism must be stopped before it takes root. We call on Minister @SeanFraserMP to urgently convene provincial and territorial Attorneys General and Public Safety Ministers to coordinate enforcement of existing and new hate laws. And we urge authorities at all levels to confront the radicalization spreading across our campuses and throughout the country, where antisemitic libels and conspiracies about Jews and Israelis fuel hatred, violence and even terrorism. Our organizations stand with the Jewish students targeted by this act of hate and remain committed to a Canada where everyone can live safely and express their identity without fear.

1/ Jewish and Israeli performers are being canceled, harassed and silenced. The Dark Stage section of ADL's State of the Arts report documents 65 cases across 41 U.S. locations, showing growing scrutiny, protest, disruption and cancellation of Jewish, Israeli and openly pro-Israel artists across music, comedy, dance, film and campus programming. Let's look at the trends. 🧵

4/ Audience disruption and harassment are also becoming increasingly common. Comedian @jewdygold was told "You're a Jew" during two shows in one weekend, while singer-songwriter @repektor was heckled mid-performance.

As the 2026 election season draws to a close, ADL calls on leaders across the political spectrum to reject rhetoric that fuels antisemitism and other forms of hate and division. With so many closely contested and consequential races, the temptation to resort to divisive rhetoric is especially strong. Yet candidates, parties, campaigns and their supporters have a responsibility to refrain from scapegoating, stereotyping or dehumanizing any community. Throughout this election season, we have seen such rhetoric across the political spectrum, including this past weekend. Words have consequences. Rhetoric that portrays Jews or any other community as dangerous, disloyal or responsible for society's problems fuels hatred that can lead to harassment, threats and violence. We urge all leaders to condemn antisemitism and all other forms of bigotry, whatever the source, and reject attempts to exploit prejudice for political gain. Debate and disagreement are part of democracy. Hate and violence are not.

As ADL's Ken Jacobson writes in @TimesofIsrael, “Far too often in post-10/7 demonstrations around the world, what is characterized as pro-Palestinian is more accurately described as anti-Israeli, with a clear purpose of delegitimizing the Jewish state and, many times, encouraging or justifying violence toward Israelis and Jews.” Being pro-Palestinian should mean wanting to improve the lives of Palestinians, not delegitimizing the Jewish state. And that distinction is crucial if we want to move closer to peace. Read the full piece:  blogs.timesofisrael.com/when…

At @TheIACP, ADL shared our expertise on memetic violence, also known as nihilistic violent extremism, with hundreds of law enforcement leaders from around the world and led a panel discussion on intervention, prevention and response. This phenomenon involves individuals committing violence to gain notoriety and status in online communities, often by imitating previous attackers rather than advancing a specific ideology. A 60-year-old Jewish man was assaulted Saturday in a Berlin park, with his attacker reportedly shouting antisemitic slurs. Germany has the highest rate of antisemitic assaults relative to the size of its Jewish community among the seven largest Jewish communities in the diaspora.  Learn more with the J7 annual report: adl.org/resources/press-rele…

Holocaust trivialization. Vile antisemitic rhetoric. Demonization of Jews. Praise for terrorists. Fantasies about violence against Jews and Israelis. This is what you can expect from Susan Abulhawa, a bestselling novelist with a major publisher and a sizeable social media following. She uses her perceived credibility to spread explicit antisemitism at a time when antisemitic incidents worldwide are at record levels. Here's what you need to know: adl.org/resources/article/su…

ADL's @JGreenblattADL was back on @DonnyDeutsch’s On Brand podcast to talk about what’s changed in the last six months when it comes to antisemitism. Unfortunately, the alarm hasn’t subsided. We’re living through an epidemic of anti-Jewish hate, and its normalization is deeply alarming. Jonathan talked about ADL’s new #StateOfTheArts report and the quiet erasure of Jewish and Israeli artists and how antisemitism is spreading on platforms like TikTok and Wikipedia.

Two recent incidents in NYC highlight a troubling pattern of antizionist activists targeting businesses over their ties to Israel. Palestine Action, an international, U.S.-sanctioned group, claimed responsibility for vandalizing a Capital One branch on the Upper East Side. Days earlier, vandals destroyed OMNY readers in Brooklyn. The ADL Center on Extremism examines the incidents and broader trend: adl.org/resources/article/tw…
