Over 30% of Waveney Valley homes are off the gas grid, the highest in the East of England. The energy price cap doesn’t cover heating oil.
No one should be left in the cold this winter.
We need price regulation and more support now.
The Animal Welfare Act 2006 marked a huge step forward in protections for animals - but there is so much more to do.
I was pleased to speak at the Animal Law Foundation's event in Parliament pressing for a strengthened Act.
The Government must also press ahead with the commitments in its Animal Welfare Strategy - a good set of promises which must be delivered.

Inspiring to join @AnimallawFDN @LeagueACS in Parliament to mark 20th anniversary of Animal Welfare Act & ask “is it being used to animals the protections that were intended?” Not yet! @AdrianRamsay says ‘we have a majority of MPs willing to act for animals - let’s get moving!’
Suffolk County Council is proposing significant cuts to its Healthy Child Services.
I’ve urged the Government to intervene because new parents like Chloe rely on the young parent pathway to develop the skills and knowledge to raise their baby.
I warned over the summer about the unique risks overheating poses in hospitals, prisons and schools, and now the NAO report confirms it.
The NAO's report also reaffirms my belief we need a Number 10 for the Future, in the form of a climate adaption unit at the centre of Government. watermagazine.co.uk/2026/11/…

I'm not sure how going from one Green MP to four MPs in 2024, alongside significantly expanding our local government representation and becoming the largest group on councils including East Hertfordshire, Lewes and Warwick, can be considered a failure. But there we go!

Exactly! I #BackZack but I also agree with most of @AdrianRamsay's interview & there is no doubt, his Parliamentary work on environmental issues & animal rights has been fantastic... this needs to continue!
Adrian is the most effective Green MP’s in Parliament, he has been hugely supportive of the campaigns I work on from fox hunting to grey hound racing & the slaughter of whales & dolphins in the Faroe Islands.
He is probably the most powerful & consistent voice for animal protection in Parliament today. Yet he is coming under brutal attack from individuals who have no interest in animals or nature, they simply want to turn the Green Party l into Corbyn Labour mark 2.
If the Greens lose MPs like Adrian they are finished as a political force in Westminster.

Speaking as a GP member of 20+ yrs, I'm proud to be in the only party to declare ZIR.
Having watched Adrian's full interview, I actually agree with most of what he says & I suggest everyone watches.
I #BackZack but also back Adrian because @TheGreenParty & our 🌍 need us ALL 💚

Many people online are reacting to media speculation, not to what I actually said in the interview. You don’t have to agree with everything I say, but some of the portrayal of my interview has been, frankly, absurd. I’d urge everyone to listen to the interview in full: youtube.com/watch?v=-5S6vYv5…

Ramsay seems like someone who quietly gets on with the work of being a politician, rather than feeding off the attention that comes with it, and I think we probably need more of that in the world.

My thoughts on The Green Party and Adrian's interview.
I finally managed to hear all of the interview with @AdrianRamsay and I support most of what he said. I joined The Greens because of those core values that he mentions, and we definitely need climate change and environmental issues front and centre because it impacts every part of life.
I wholeheartedly support @ZackPolanski as leader and I think he has brought many people in. I love his energy, his charisma
and his communication skills, but I also get where Adrian is coming from. He has been a member for decades so he will have his own views and experiences.
To manage a party with lots of members is not going to be easy because people pull in different directions. I am glad therefore that Adrian acknowledged how the party has grown since Zack became leader.
I believe Adrian is concerned about extremism creeping into the party. I can understand that too. Foreign policy is always a difficult area of concern. It isa subject that the other political parties tiptoe around.
I personally don't want us to be an extreme party, I want people to vote green because we are a party of truth and integrity.
No doubt, the Zionism vote has caused some damage with how people see us. But it has also led to lots of people talking about the Israeli leaders and what is happening in Gaza. So it is not all bad.
I understand the motion but wouldn't have supported it as it was.
That's my personal view. There is nothing wrong with Green former leaders or anyone speaking out against it.
Call me old school but perhaps the party does need to change so that more voices are reflected in key votes. It will be interesting to see what happens. I am glad Adrian still remains committed to the party, his voice in Parliament is an important one.
One thing though, I was concerned that so many people seemed to be against Adrian before even knowing what he had said. It shouldn't have been 'for or against'. Both Zack and Adrian play important roles.
In my opinion, Adrian talked a lot of common-sense.
I firmly believe the Greens need to be more united than ever. Let's be honest, Labour are not going to protect us from the negative impacts of climate change or make our country better for nature or for us. The media will pick and probe over every word and will spin things to suit, and that's why we need to pull together.
The Green Party is at a crossroads. We need to build consensus and focus outward. We’ll deliver the changes our society needs now and for the future only if the British public comes with us. That’s the Green Party I want to see.
I find the racial undertones in some right-wing media coverage of Muslim Greens offensive, and so do party members.

Absolutely, Kieran! The party needs to reconnect with its traditional roots: championing the issues that matter in people's everyday lives, tackling the environmental challenges we all face, and protecting the values we have worked so hard to build among our communities!

Considered and quite reassuring (if listened to). Thank you @AdrianRamsay. (Clear that the media are trying to twist what he is saying into something it's not). bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0pjpx…
