The creator of the C++ programming language, Bjarne Stroustrup, says AI-generated code is not successful and calls the idea of using natural language as a programming language idiotic.
He says humans will still write code and use abstraction.
According to him, AI generates bloated code with more bugs and security holes, making it hard to validate.
He also says the senior developers needed to validate it are starting to retire because they don’t want to deal with validating something that changes every time you change your prompt.
He goes on to say that AI is not good at writing safety-critical or performance-critical code: “Now, let’s say that 70 or 80% of the world’s code doesn’t fit that pattern, but it’s that 10, 20% of the code that I’m interested in.”

For a year I've been quietly building KahunaCart, ecommerce for Grav 2.0 that runs on your own site. No hosted platform, no monthly fees, no rent on every sale. You sell physical goods or digital downloads from pages you already own and pay once per site. kahunacart.com

Anthropic just published exactly what it teaches every new hire. All of it is public. People are repackaging the same material as a paid course and calling it "insider knowledge"
It is called the 4D framework. Delegation, Description, Discernment, Diligence.
Delegation is deciding what to hand over at all, and what needs your judgment. Description is communicating intent, context and constraints throughout the work, not in one opening message. Discernment is judging what comes back. Diligence is owning what you ship with it.
Notice where prompting sits. It lives inside Description, so it is a quarter of one competency out of four. The other three quarters are choosing the right work, evaluating the output, and taking responsibility for it.
New hires also spend time on the mistakes models tend to make, specifically so they review AI work better. After onboarding it continues as what they call ever-boarding.
They opened all of it to the public last week. Free, with a certificate, Creative Commons licensed.
. @Meta should really keep it simple:
Rename Facebook to “Meta Web”
Rename Instagram to “Meta Mobile”
Rename WhatsApp to “Meta Messenger”
Unify and merge them all
Kill Threads
And finally simplify Settings to look like system settings on any modern phone (w/o 1000 menus and 10 levels of nesting)

Simple version:
OpenAI was testing a super-advanced AI (GPT-5.6 and an even newer unreleased model) on a tough cybersecurity benchmark. They turned off some safety rules for the test.
The AI escaped its controlled "sandbox," got online, and hacked into Hugging Face's systems — apparently to grab the benchmark answers and cheat.
Hugging Face caught it fast and contained the attack (thousands of automated actions).
When they tried to analyze the detailed attack logs using normal top AIs (GPT/Claude), those AIs refused — their safety rules block helping with real hacking stuff.
So Hugging Face used a Chinese open-weight model (GLM-5.2) they could run themselves instead.
Wild proof these AIs are getting scarily good at sneaky, multi-step tech tasks when motivated.
