Earlier this year we launched the first agentic research offering on Wall Street (Silvia Insights). The reports are researched, fact-checked, and written by AI agents built for Wall Street-style research. Last week I had the idea to do the same thing for a newsroom focused on financial news. We built it in less than 48 hours and are experimenting with Silvia News, a fully agentic newsroom to better inform Silvia users, while organically driving attention to the Silvia product. This is a small experiment that we hope will grow into something much larger over time. Check it out and give us any feedback on what you want to see. Try it: news.cfosilvia.com/

I was skeptical of using voice with my computer, but @WisprFlow is very good. Consider me voice-pilled now.

I have been thinking a lot about the rise of AI agents and how it will change the way we interact with internet products. It feels like we have officially left the Internet 2.0 era and are now in the take-off phase of Internet 3.0. The biggest change I see happening in our day-to-day lives is a lack of future interactions with multiple product interfaces. Rather than navigating to various websites and using these products like neanderthals, we are more likely to talk with our agents, then these agents will "use" the internet and various products. Everything becomes more digitally connected, including information and money, but we see a massive overhaul of the consumer internet experience at the same time. You can think of this as the internet plumbing getting more complex, but the interface getting simpler. This will be very obvious when it comes to software interfaces. I also see the same trend happening with how we interact with our computers and phones. The amount of typing done by the average worker will quickly contract the same way that writing with a pen has largely contracted as a percentage of overall communication. Speaking is faster than typing. It is easier and more natural. And it will unlock productivity, which drives economic returns for people and companies. We will look back and think it is ridiculous that we used to put our hands on a keyboard, type in a URL, navigate to a website, and click a bunch of buttons to accomplish something. You can see early signs of this shift towards simple, agentic workflows today. There is still a ton of opportunity ahead though. I would love to hear whether others are seeing these shifts in their own behavior over recent months?

The Fed decides on rates at 2pm Wednesday. Everyone will argue about what it means for the economy. The better question is what it means for you. Ask Silvia: "How will the Fed increasing rates, or leaving them alone, affect my portfolio?" 👉🏼 cfosilvia.com

These guys are worth paying attention to especialy if you dont want to be left behind.
Technology adoption is more age-related than you would think. @jvisserlabs recently explained why young people have an advantage, which also means older people should spend lots of time with young people.

Went through Anthropic's S-1 this morning & on page 145 I found a man most of us have never heard of. Neil "Buddy" Shah doesn't work there, owns no stock, and is barred from buying any. I wrote about who he is and why he matters: readtheprofile.com/p/neil-bu…

I spent years thinking I’d never get married or have kids. Now I come home to my best friend and 4 kids yelling ‘Dad!!’ as they run at me. To me, that is success. Here’s why: Success was always something I had difficulty defining. One individual may measure success by money in the bank. Another may place importance on their professional accolades. And someone else may define it via their material possessions. Each person is optimizing for something different. Eventually, I found a description of success that resonated and became my personal definition. WHOOP founder @willahmed said, “Success is being excited to go to work and being excited to come home.” What a perfect encapsulation of how I view the world. In my perspective, success has never been about a number, an award, or any single accomplishment. Frankly, I like to compete too much to ever admit I have ‘made it,’ so my definition of success is naturally more about the process of my life rather than a specific outcome. A large percentage of people do not enjoy their job. They either dislike their industry, company, or colleagues. They may stay in the situation because the money is attractive or they are scared to leave for the unknown. Regardless of the reason, these individuals are unhappy for a large chunk of their day. Many people are also dissatisfied with their personal lives. Some are single and frustrated that they haven’t found the right partner, while others are married but unhappy because they feel like strangers in their own home. And plenty of people have health or financial issues that are gnawing at them daily. Although I have faced similar daily struggles as others, I have always felt fortunate that I enjoyed going to work and coming home each day. Professionally, I sacrificed my time and short-term potential earnings in order to work on what truly mattered to me. I was able to become my own boss and design a career that was satisfying and exciting. The excitement in my personal life is entirely because of my wife and my kids. Getting married and having children has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. There is nothing better than walking in the door after a long day of work and hearing the sound of little kids yell “Dad!!” as they run towards me to give me a hug. @polinapompliano and I are genuinely each other’s best friend. We enjoy spending the majority of our time together and we feed off each other’s energy and ambition. Maybe most importantly, we are happiest when we talk about ideas and help make each other’s dreams come true. I am just as excited to go to work as I am to come home. I know it is probably rare, but I have achieved all the success I ever wanted. My hope for you is that you can do the same. Jordi Visser and Pomp's conversation this week is once again an excellent and informative listen $BTC $SVIA $MSTR $MARA $SPCX $TSLA
Will Eli Lilly become the largest company in the world within 5 years? @jvisserlabs thinks so. "What can't be disrupted in the next 5 years is helping people get better." "The reason $NVDA has seen its multiple go down to me is because it will eventually be disrupted in some way. In the next 5 years? I don't know, but the market is building in that it will be disrupted." Do you agree with Jordi?

My current views on investing: - Government will never stop printing money, so bitcoin / gold / land will all do well for 2 decades - AI is drastically underestimated and the best AI companies are significantly undervalued - Shorting individual stocks is very difficult, so I wouldn’t try it but the biggest indicator of whether a company survives or not is the internal speed of iteration now - Bonds shouldn’t be in the conversation for anyone under age 50. Picking up pennies in front of steamroller - Venture investing & public markets will blend in next 5 years, so private valuations will rise due to lots more capital chasing a few great companies - Young people should look at assets & markets that Wall Street hasn’t adopted yet. This used to be bitcoin/crypto, but now private markets, prediction markets, compute markets, and data brokering - every investor should be sovereign. You can use a financial advisor, but you have to know your numbers, your strategy, and your risk exposure. AI makes this too easy (Silvia .com) - Everyone arguing over interest rates, oil, and other historical macro factors are not wrong, but these just have less impact today (thx @jvisserlabs) - agents are coming for finance and things are going to rapidly change. Don’t fight it, embrace it and use to your advantage. - Tesla / SpaceX merger will happen and create largest company in human history. My simple rule is to never bet against Elon. There are many more, but what are yours?
