the zero-days throughout October were a fun seasonal scare! Let’s cut that shit out for November tho…
Neuralink + Grok computer use 🚀

3. Computer use agent
We prototyped a feature to enable users to trigger a Grok agent by thinking of saying “Hey Neuralink” along with a desired task.
This is an early illustration of how increasing the bandwidth of communication between the brain and computers could help close the gap between thought and action.
TIL that flights can change aircraft after you book them so there’s no clean API to know if you get Starlink or not.
There is a definitive way to know you don’t get Starlink— fly Delta.
I’ve purchased dozens of robot parts over the last few weeks while developing the new shopping flow in Grok Bot.
I should be more ambitious with my grok @bot subscription
Last night an AI agent performed brain surgery on a mouse.
We gave it 19 gene therapy vectors in a spreadsheet, a mouse model of epilepsy, access to a motorize surgery rig with cameras and one goal: reduce seizures.
It picked the drug. It picked the brain region. It derived the coordinates from three papers. Then it drove the stereotaxic arms into the brain and injected 250 nanolitres while watching the entry site through the rig camera for bleeding.
A licensed vet gated every irreversible step and held a physical kill switch to stop the AI agent.
Thread on what it decided, what it saw, and the moment it refused to let me override it.
[Writing this on the spot out of excitement, but I've been 18hrs in front of my laptop coding and coordinating this, so keeping it brief and descriptive, more cohesive thoughts on this soon...]

Early days, but we're beginning to hire Bots onto our team.
Bullish on the Grok Aviation Administration
In a comment to the FAA, SpaceX says it wants to launch 10,000 times per year.
The FAA asked for input on where to build new spaceports and how to give rocket launches priority in US airspace. They're preparing for 10,000 launches a year by 2035.
SpaceX replied that rockets aren't the bottleneck anymore, the FAA's outdated air traffic processes are. They created their own airspace tool (Cleared) that most major US airlines already get for free.
They also noted that Starbase Louisiana is designed for ~30 launches and reentries PER DAY (!!)
Update on the grok @bot robot:
I’ve rebuilt it multiple times to get the servo horns right. Debugging is a lot harder than printing console.log statements.
Late last night I got it to stand (menacingly) and almost shuffle, but it seems like the horns are too loose in the printed fixtures. There’s not a lot of margin for error in the design Grok came up with.
Thinking the next step is super glue.
I created a Grok @bot connector to ping my Apple devices with Find My.
I’m formally nominating x dot com for an awwwards award

As an aside, having an arm pop up and point towards the promote button while I’m posting is genuinely one of the worst things I’ve ever seen, what a disaster
Grok @bot turned my esp into an iPhone accessory so I could sync the servos from my phone.
The bot pairs instantly like AirPods now.
Grok’s robot body has very little room for error so I had to pull it apart, sync, and now I’ll put it back together.
Plan for the robot is to make it feel like a native accessory, surprised at how well it’s coming together.
You can't use 3d models or animations in the iOS API so @bot helped my find the developer who worked on the feature and reached out for advice. I now have an open feature request for it in iOS haha.
