In April and May of this year, the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) and DSA met twice, in New York and Chicago, and reaffirmed our commitment to working together in solidarity. I was deeply moved by DSAโ€™s efforts to address the urgent needs of people across the United States and to build international solidarity for peace, as well as by its programโ€™s call to end the U.S. war machine. By openly championing socialism, DSA helped elect what will be the largest bloc of socialist lawmakers in U.S. congressional history. This achievement is a tremendous source of encouragement to all those around the world working for peace, progress, and socialism. We, too, are determined to make great strides. We probably all need to do some soul-searching about why there were 1 million daily think pieces about Abdul El-Sayed defending an already-blue seat and basically zero coverage of Adam Hamilton who just flipped a KS Sen seat for the first time in 94 years in an unthinkable upset
