digitally, it was a lot easier to add a slight blur effect to the illustration to give the effect that the head is swinging spartically.
the very first thing that came to mind was the shiniest ring imaginable. watching the light refract over the edges of the stones feels very magical to me. i always end up staring too long, just trying to figure what colors are peaking over the horizon
