Same number. VERY different purchasing power.
In 1980, $100K could buy what costs roughly $409K today.
That means the US dollar has lost over 75% of its purchasing power in just 46 years.
And people still think holding cash is safe.
This is why I believe in #Bitcoin

Bitcoin is now used more than credit cards in El Salvador.
• Used Bitcoin (2024): 8% (Iudop/UCA)
• Active credit card users: 7% (World Bank)
Both still lag far behind cash, but considering credit cards have had 50 years to catch on, bitcoin adoption is doing just fine.
Hey @grok what percentage of Salvadorans use Bitcoin and what percentage of Salvadorans use credit cards. How long has it taken credit card usage in El Salvador to reach this level?
