The theatre industry really is an echo chamber. I’m so sick of it. Much of it (not all of it) is about a play being a hit, it’s the same fucking artists getting opportunities, it’s the same work being shown but in different ways. It’s so ridiculously boring.

We have just learnt of Nathan Geering's allegations against @theatredelishef @theatredeli of institutional racism. He has resigned as Artistic Director with immediate effect. We will be publishing his public statement imminently and condemn the experiences he outlines.
“It was these really nuanced micro-aggressions, things that are really super difficult to prove as a person of colour.”
Here at BlackStage UK we stand behind Nathan and are so sorry to hear about his experiences as AD. We hope for a fair investigation into matters.

In case you're not aware, the artistic director #NathanGeering at @theatredelishef / @theatredeli just resigned due to widespread racism. #TheatreDeli have repeatedly traded on Geering's awards and achievements to promote themselves whilst dehumanising him behind the scenes.
