What Alex Ferguson achieved at Aberdeen imo surpassed his achievements at United i mean if someone had told me that Aberdeen would win 2 European trophies I would have said they were mad
Thing that Carragher misses in his ‘United have only won things with legendary figureheads like Sir Matt and Sir Alex, so that’s what they need to get back to the top’, argument. 1) Neither Sir Matt, nor Sir Alex were “Legendary figureheads” before joining United. Sir Matt hadn’t even managed anywhere else. Sir Alex had done fantastic at Aberdeen but hadn’t exactly become a legendary manager. 2) Louis Rocca spent years building the best scouting network in the country and recruiting a lot of amazing talent before Sir Matt joined. 3) Sir Alex spent 6 years rebuilding United from top to bottom, setting a culture and reimplementing Sir Matt’s youth policy. 4) Both Sir Matt and Sir Alex received huge support from the owners who gave them time to build what they wanted, because they shared the same vision. 5) For the record, United have won titles with 3 managers, not 2. We also won two league titles with Ernest Mangnall. Do your research @Carra23. 6) Both LvG and Jose were “Legendary figureheads” when they joined United. How did they do? 3 cups between them. 7) He says that Klopp was “more than a manager”, comically implying he was also a “Legendary figurehead” BEFORE he joined Liverpool. Reality is, he’d won 2 league titles and a cup with BvB after he’d relegated Mainz. Decent record. But hardly stuff of legends. It also took him 4 years to build his team at Liverpool and win the CL and 5 years before he won the league. It took Arteta almost SEVEN years to win the league with Arsenal. Was he a “legendary manager”? No. He hadn’t even managed a club before. So what did he and Klopp have in common with Sir Matt and Sir Alex? They were all given time and support by owners who shared the same vision and gave them proper support. In the past 13 years, we have had decent managers who had achieved as much as Klopp had (if not more) before he joined Liverpool. But they failed. We’ve also had two legendary managers who also failed. So managers have come and gone. But what’s the only thing that’s stayed exactly the same throughout? The owners and the way they run the club. It really isn’t rocket science, Carra.

If the player had a brain he wouldn't have picked up such stupid yellow cards oh and learn the fucking rules
How on earth could Carrick stop Cunha from celebrating with the fans? He was the one who won us the game. Without his goals, Carrick would be facing even more scrutiny than anyone imagined. Show the player some appreciation! #MUFC

Russell Brand's father just showed up in court. Ron Brand took a front-row seat. Wife Laura and his minder stayed in their usual spots. Brand is sitting completely motionless and staring dead ahead at the judge.

Pretty damned sure Peter Schmeichel hasn't said this so why the fuck are stupid cunts like bellend seth below posting this shite are clicks really that important
🚨Peter Schmeichel on Michael Carrick’s starting XI against Bournemouth: 🗣️ Peter Schmeichel: “I’m looking at this lineup, and you feel like crying for Manchester United. Bruno Fernandes is arguably your best player, yet he’s on the bench. Cunha is there too, while Martinez, Mainoo and Sesko are unavailable. Honestly, it’s utter bollocks! “After Bruno’s outburst, I expected Carrick to sit down with him and sort things out privately. Ask him what the problem is. If Bruno speaks, you have a player you can work with. But dropping your best player in a high-stakes game when United are struggling for consistency? That’s a massive risk. “And Bournemouth can absolutely hurt this team. They can press aggressively, win second balls and attack the spaces United leave behind. If United lose control of midfield, who dictates the tempo? Who finds that killer pass? Bruno is usually the man who does those things, and he’s sitting on the bench! “Cunha being there as well makes it even more questionable. He can carry the ball, trouble defenders and create something out of nothing. If United struggle to break Bournemouth down, Carrick may find himself turning to the very players he decided not to start. “The biggest danger is Bournemouth scoring first. Imagine the atmosphere at Old Trafford if United go behind, the crowd starts asking for Bruno, and Carrick has to bring him on to rescue a game he could have started. Suddenly, this isn’t just a tactical decision anymore; it’s a decision that could come back to haunt the manager. “I’m also looking at that defense and wondering how comfortable United will be if Bournemouth start running at them. If the midfield loses possession and the back line gets exposed, United could spend the afternoon defending instead of controlling the game. You cannot afford to give a confident Bournemouth side that much encouragement. “Carrick has to remember that picking a starting XI isn’t about proving who’s in charge; it’s about giving your team the best chance to win. If this lineup struggles, the pressure will be enormous, and every minute Bruno spends on the bench will become another question directed at the manager. “Nobody is bigger than Manchester United, not even Bruno Fernandes. But there is a difference between showing authority and weakening your own team to prove a point. Carrick has made his decision, and now he has to live with it. “This could turn into a disaster afternoon for Michael Carrick. Bournemouth won’t care about the politics inside United. They’ll simply exploit every weakness they see and if Carrick gets this wrong, the questions after the game will be brutal.”

This is obviously bullshit but for me cunha is an overrated lazy showpony
🚨Matheus Cunha on his altercation with Michael Carrick after the defeat to Como: 🗣️ Matheus Cunha: “After the game, Carrick walked over to me and quietly said, ‘You couldn’t even run.’ I got angry and told him, ‘Gaffer, I was probably the only one running out there!’ He turned red, looked straight at me, and walked away. But what annoyed me the most was that he was blaming the players when we were simply trying to follow the instructions he gave us. He was the one who told us not to use man-to-man marking. He was the one who said we should look for Como on the counterattack. He was the one who told us to play those dinked passes over the defenders. So when things went wrong, I wanted to know what exactly he expected us to do differently. You cannot give us a plan before the game, watch that plan fall apart, and then come into the dressing room blaming players for not running. We were chasing shadows out there because Como knew exactly how to hurt us. I told him we needed to change something. Bruno was playing as a false nine, but there was nobody consistently occupying the right positions in the final third. We weren’t creating enough, and we kept forcing passes that weren’t working. Bruno felt I was blaming him, but that wasn’t my point. He was following instructions too. My problem was with the system, and I wanted us to find a solution before it was too late. But suddenly, everyone was arguing. Some players felt I was questioning their effort, Bruno felt I was questioning his role, and Carrick wasn’t happy that I challenged his tactics. Honestly, I don’t regret asking those questions. We had just been humiliated, and somebody had to say something. You cannot tell us to follow your instructions, watch us get destroyed, and then blame us for the very things you told us to do. If the tactics were right, why did Como make us look like we’d never played football together?”

Clearly not good and not acceptable but neither is the sectarian bile that spews out every game involving the old firm
Some grim songs coming out of the Hearts support today. I was there, it was excruciating and humiliating. A small, small section of our support as a whole but vocal and well represented today. Proud to support the club I’ve always loved but get that stuff out. It’s awful.

If anyone is daft enough to believe that the comments martinez made last night are just one players opinion then think again there's no doubt in my mind the majority of the dressing room feels exactly the same
