We're proud to be featured in @OpenAI's Decisions API launch. Enterprise AI gets useful when understanding a document leads to action. Our work with Box Extract and the Decisions API explores that fast-decision layer, turning document understanding into an automated workflow. Routine work automated, lower-confidence cases sent to reviewers.
Add near real-time decisions to your workflow with the Decisions API, now generally available. Build faster, more cost-efficient apps and agents that can classify text and images, evaluate inputs, and determine what happens next without generating a full model response.

Claude Duet from @claudeai puts a proactive personal assistant to work with your content in Box. We asked it to get us ready for a mock product launch review. Duet found the relevant files in Box, checked approvals, and prepared announcement and website drafts. When a new customer approval was added to Box, Duet discovered it on its scheduled check, updated both drafts, and saved the revised versions back to Box without another prompt from us. Then it came back on its own with a catch: the customer approval didn’t cover the planned marketing email. Duet drafted an email without the quote, checked the audience with us, and saved the updated draft to Box. Connect Box to Claude to put your business content to work.
We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

We built 4 new Box Agent Skills for developers: CLI, MCP, SDK Development, and Integration Best Practices. Generic instructions only go so far. These skills give your agent the Box-specific context it needs to handle real workflows reliably.

Gave @kirodotdev some @Box know-how, then threw a few curveballs. ☕ There’s something satisfying about an agent that knows how to use your tools (and what to do when stuff go sideways)
Box and @awscloud are bringing Box Agent Skills to @kirodotdev through compatibility with Kiro Powers. Developers building Box integrations get Box-specific guidance baked into their agentic development environment: APIs, authentication patterns, content workflows, and Box AI capabilities. Box remains the governed source of truth and maintains existing permissions and controls throughout.

LLMs + file storage might be the most underrated app stack for enterprise software. For document-centered products, you don’t always need a separate database. The business context is already in the files. This is a great read from @chriskim_dev on what he learned running an agentic AI hackathon with @AWS.

We’re proud to be a @googlecloud launch partner as they bring @OpenAI models to their platform with enterprise security and governance built in. Every enterprise is different, and this means more model choice for the Box Agent without compromising on the security and governance our customers require.
Today, we're bringing OpenAI models to Google Cloud's model garden. We're now the only hyperscale cloud provider offering access to all three leading closed source LLMs—alongside 200+ other models—on a unified enterprise platform → goo.gle/4zJ0VZQ

“The systems of record that agents have access to will grow in importance, because you will want to make sure that those systems are governing the rules of the road for these agent swarms to operate in.” @levie on @CNBC discussed why enterprise ROI from agent swarms relies on the systems underneath them.

Aaron Levie of @Box on how AI agents with wallets could create new business models for the internet: "I've always wanted micropayments for things online... I've appreciated why it's a bad business model, but I want it." "Now it's probably a good business model. Let's say you had paywalled, really proprietary data. You're Bloomberg. You're a medical institution. You could imagine there's maybe a hundred million agents that would be tapping into that data." "All of a sudden, a penny a transaction starts to make a lot more sense than it did when you were capped at 20 million [knowledge workers] that maybe were interested in your content." "We probably have new business models for tools and APIs... We probably want an agent to be able to have a budget and make any API call it wants." "All of a sudden you have this new revenue stream, which is these agents showing up, just transacting on your system." @levie at Daytona Compute 2026

Box AI Extract pulls structured fields from documents, and @OpenAI Decisions API routes them to the right workflow. In this demo, a COI arrives in Box through a File Request. Box AI extracts coverage fields from both the upload and the project requirements. The Decisions API receives that evidence and returns a typed route: request endorsement, specialist review, or ready for human review. A Box webhook triggers the whole process on document upload. The app creates a review task with context, adds the right collaborator, and writes extracted values and decision confidence back to the file as metadata. Box is where the documents arrive and where people review them. Watch👇
