A new onchain share class can expand access to an existing fund without replacing the structure behind it. Aviva Investors has launched a tokenized share class of its Sterling Liquidity Fund. As of its 26 October announcement, more than £86M was invested across its two tokenized share-class offerings, including Aviva’s £50M investment in the new sterling class. The underlying sterling fund has approximately £22B in AUM. That is the whole fund’s size, not the amount tokenized. The model adds an onchain representation of holdings while retaining the existing fund structure and custody arrangements. The broader industry opportunity is practical: give established products another route to eligible investors while keeping their rights, records and ongoing administration connected. Adoption will be measured by actual investment and use, alongside the operational benefits that digital access delivers. Source: avivainvestors.com/en-gb/abo…

“Agents bring mass knowledge and capability and will close the financial literacy gap.” At TokenizeThis Singapore, @ismiMatthew (@ethereuminsti) said agents might not just transform institutional finance, but level the playing field for retail users too. Matthew, Minsook Cho (@Mastercard), and @Ludovico__Rossi (@Brickken) discussed agentic finance and autonomous capital. Moderated by @mattgurbiel (@redstone_defi).

Institutional tokenization is becoming part of the machinery of capital markets. @The_DTCC launched its Tokenization Service with 20 DTC participants having signed agreements to access it. The service creates tokenized representations of securities held at DTC, preserving their ownership rights and economic entitlements while allowing conversion between traditional and tokenized forms. The important signal is the connection to existing market infrastructure: custody, records and operational controls supporting how financial instruments move. Access agreements are an adoption indicator; they do not establish how many participants have already transacted or the value tokenized. For the industry, the next test is sustained use: can institutions integrate these instruments into everyday transfers, servicing and collateral workflows? That is where tokenization infrastructure has to prove its value throughout the asset lifecycle.

Scaling tokenized markets requires more than faster transactions. In the IMF’s analysis, more than 50% of tokenized-equity trading volume occurred outside regular US market hours. That makes dependable pricing, liquidity and operational support beyond exchange hours a practical concern. The IMF’s October financial-stability analysis examines how shared infrastructure could streamline financial workflows. It also highlights the legal, operational and liquidity foundations needed as markets grow. The four areas in this infographic shape whether tokenized instruments can function across institutions and venues. Alongside them, safeguards need to keep pace with leverage, funding and liquidity risks. For us, the practical takeaway is to design the operating model early: what rights investors hold, how transactions settle, and how positions can be managed when markets are under stress. Your AI provider can change. Your product needs to keep working. A model is retired. Pricing changes. An endpoint becomes unavailable. Engineering teams need a plan for what happens next. In “Bubble-Proof AI”, Maximiliano Allende, Frontend Developer & AI Engineer at Brickken, outlines a practical approach: make models replaceable, keep a tested fallback for suitable tasks, control where sensitive data goes, and verify outputs through testing and expert review. For teams building tokenization infrastructure, those choices matter. Investor information and smart contract workflows need safeguards that hold even when the AI tools change. If you missed The RWA Paddock, you missed a really good one. 🏎️🔥 One of the best seats in Singapore, with a room full of institutions, asset managers, and builders, and the @Brickken team leading the way on what it takes to build real institutional capital markets for tokenized assets. 🌃 The questions were practical, and the conversations went deep: investor access, distribution, and what happens to an instrument after it’s issued. It was a blast to dive into it all with the Brickken team. 💬 Big thanks to Brickken and a shout-out to @edwin_mata, @Ludovico__Rossi and @jordiesturi for hosting The Paddock with us and bringing so many great people into the room. 🙌 Tag us in your best shots. 🎉 View the full album at thebestevent.com

Can your project actually reach the market? Before moving into tokenization, it helps to see where the gaps are: the asset you plan to issue, the legal structure behind it, the investors you want to reach and the infrastructure needed to support it. Our Path to Issuance assessment walks you through four areas: • Asset: what you are issuing, its size and yield. • Legal: the issuance jurisdiction and issuing entity. • Distribution: your investor base and route to market. • Infrastructure: KYC, custody, secondary market and lifecycle. Your report breaks down each area and helps identify what to resolve first. Start the assessment: brickken.com/path-to-issuanc…

From TOKEN2049 Singapore to Silicon Valley 🇺🇸 Our CEO, @edwin_mata , joined FinAccelerate, empowered by @JonesDay , bringing our company’s perspective on tokenization to a programme connecting fintech companies, investors and legal expertise. Building real institutional capital markets takes more than technology. The financial instruments, investor rights and systems behind them need to work together. That is why being part of spaces that bring these disciplines together matters to us. Thank you to the Jones Day and FinAccelerate teams for bringing the cohort together. RWA adoption becomes visible in what investors can do after an asset is issued. @CryptoRank_io reports that tracked tokenized ETF value grew from $225 million at the end of 2025 to $673 million by the end of Q3 2026 nearly 3×. Recent market research tracks a wider range of uses: holding Treasury and fund products for income, accessing equity and commodity exposure, trading eligible instruments and using supported assets as collateral. Each use asks something different of the infrastructure. Holders need dependable redemption terms. Traders need executable prices. Lending markets need reliable collateral valuation and a workable exit. Our view: measuring adoption means looking at subscriptions, redemptions, repeat activity and actual collateral use alongside asset value. Making a token available is one step; sustained financial use is the stronger signal. Research: cryptorank.io/insights/resea…

A token records a holding. The legal structure determines what that holding means. In a written interview with @news_ghana , our CEO @edwin_mata explores how tokenization could give African SMEs more routes to capital and the foundations that make those instruments credible. What does the investor actually hold? How are their rights enforced? What happens in a default? And who provides independent checks on the underlying asset? These questions shape investor protection and whether a project can reach the market. Edwin also explains why wider access and transferable tokens do not, on their own, create suitable investments or liquidity. Read the interview: newsghana.com.gh/brickken-ce…

What must be true before a tokenized asset can serve as collateral in central clearing? @ESMAComms has opened a call for evidence on the potential use of tokenized collateral by EU central counterparties. It is examining the full collateral lifecycle: transfer, management, client protection, settlement finality, and whether an asset can be converted into liquidity if a clearing member defaults. That last test matters. Faster movement is useful only if the legal claim, operational access and safeguards hold when markets are under stress. This is a consultation, not an approval of tokenized collateral for clearing. It is a useful indication of where institutional adoption has to do the hard work: enforceable rights, reliable operations and compatibility with existing market infrastructure.

AI should help leaders see more before they decide. In his new article, our CMO @jordiesturi argues for AI as an analytical multiplier: a way to challenge assumptions, surface counterarguments and spot dependencies across the systems where a team works. Ten AI-generated answers are not ten independent experts, and a plausible recommendation is only as useful as the evidence behind it. The measure is the quality of the decision. Did AI reveal a missing fact, bring the right question to a real expert or catch a dependency before the team committed? Human judgment and accountability remain central.
