A new book has been published – and it features us at Buxton FC!   ‘The Only Way Is Cup – The FA Cup Travelogue’ sees the author follow the world’s greatest domestic cup competition last season from start to finish across all 14 rounds and a total of 20 games.   It features our Second Qualifying Round tie at home to Redditch United, a match we won 3-0.   All Buxton FC’s squad members from the day are mentioned in the book, so that their unique place in the history of the FA Cup has been immortalised in print.   The book also includes a little potted history of our club.   “I live in Derbyshire and I was keen to keep the early rounds as local as I could”, said author, Ian McNeilly, who lives in Chesterfield.   “Buxton is a lovely town and I had a great day out. There’s plenty in the book on both the football club and Buxton itself.   The Bucks performed very well on the day and were good value for their 3-0 win.”   The book includes visits to other clubs in the area we know well such as Belper Town, Matlock Town, and Chesterfield.   Part of the reason for writing the book was not only to celebrate the Cup itself but to encourage people to go to grounds like ours and support teams further down the football pyramid.   The book would make a nice present for fans of the club, their players, family members or, indeed, any fans of either football or travel.   Copies are available to buy for £14.99 at Bannister Publications. #UpTheBucks | #TeamBuxton

The draw for 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐀 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐲 second-round will take place today (Monday 26th October). The Bucks enter the competition at this stage, along with the other 47 teams across the National League North and South, with all ties drawn to be played over the weekend of 14th November.
