CMS is proposing new verification requirements to strengthen integrity in the ACA Exchanges and protect taxpayer dollars. Under the proposed rule, consumers seeking financial assistance would have to pass eligibility verification before receiving that assistance—helping ensure taxpayer-funded assistance goes only to those who are eligible.
