Film Series | Schwartz Athlete Spotlight Cole Rueschhoff @ColeRueschhoff Cheyenne Mountain High School @CMTNAthletics LB/ATH 5'10.5 210 Lbs. C/O 2027 Physicality carries through his downhill play, pursuit and coverage reps. He pairs a college-ready frame with explosive movement, high effort and strike power at contact. On the opening rep, his first-step quickness creates immediate penetration off the edge, closing space before the play develops and delivering a physical finish. His acceleration compresses the time available for the offense to execute. At :14 in zone coverage, he transitions as the quarterback checks his first read, locates the route and drives on the catch point. His closing burst and forceful contact produce the pass breakup. A separate edge pressure reaches the mesh point for a forced fumble, highlighting his acceleration into the backfield. At :28, he reads the backfield action on an outside run, commits quickly and takes an efficient pursuit angle to finish for a tackle for loss. He also recognizes screens and reacts promptly to the developing play. Based on the reps shown, his short-area quickness and lateral range provide versatility against the run and pass, while sustained effort and strike power carry through his pursuit and finishes.
