Meanwhile Southwark LibDems continue to line their own pockets despite their national leader imploring them not to prop up proponents of hate

If you ask me, London’s NYE fireworks are the best in the world. Don’t miss your chance to see this year’s spectacular show and ring in 2027 on the banks of the Thames. Tickets are on sale now, exclusively through Ticketmaster: london.gov.uk/events/london-…

Decent Greens not putting up with the contamination of antisemitism.
Green councillors now dropping like flies to become independents following that deranged conference motion. Who can blame them?

Spooky scenes on the Setchell Estate #SE1 this morning but great to be out with @BOSLabour @Bermondsey_Lab volunteers hearing from local people excited about Halloween - but especially about the Bakerloo Line extension announced in the Labour Budget this week!

Homes, jobs, transport infrastructure as the Labour Government commits to extending the Bakerloo Line! All whilst the Green/LibDem council Coalition cuts the homeless helpline, proposes cuts to libraries and wastes £500k on extra meetings for councillors.
Yesterday’s Budget saw welcome support for the Bakerloo Line Extension. This would make a huge difference to communities in Southwark, it would support: •More than 60,000 new homes, •9,700 jobs •£19bn in additional GDP This boost would be felt not just in our communities, but across London and the UK.

One former Southwark resident reading the sonnets of another former Southwark resident! We’re lucky to have had both. I’m proud to have had Sir Patrick’s support to become Bermondsey & Old Southwark’s MP & for other campaigns. An absolute star; he’ll be missed the world over.
It gives me great pleasure to share that “Patrick Stewart Performs the Complete Sonnets of William Shakespeare” is available now! If you followed my Sonnet-A-Day pandemic series, you’ll know the inspiration behind this project and the wonderful community that brought this to life.  All 154 of Shakespeare’s Sonnets, recorded with commentary by yours truly, are now available: bit.ly/PatrickStewartSonnets @SimonAudio

Toxic antisemitism and Polanski’s cowardice and failure to stand up to the hard Left continues to damage the Greens - and their LibDem prop in Southwark.
EXC: The Green Party’s membership has dropped by 18,000 since May, internal figures leaked to me show. That’s a drop of 8%, with every 1% loss of members resulting in an annual income loss of £110k, party officials estimate. It means spending adjustments will be required in the 2027 draft budget. A party source blamed the Zionism is Racism motion for ‘undeniably alienating people’. Hw figures opposed to the motion have expressed reluctance to form their own group to counter the influence of Greens 4 Palestine, believing the appearance of factionalism will create further division and put off voters. Labour has campaigned for the Bakerloo Line extension down the Old Kent Road to Lewisham for many years and it’s great to see it coming forward.

Budget positivity for London!
Today's Budget is good news for Londoners. Support for the Bakerloo line extension, upgrading Euston Station and making Stratford International truly international are all welcome plans from the Chancellor.

I’m super pleased that Labour will deliver the Bakerloo Line extension! After years of local Labour campaigning, today's Budget has provided the means to get on with the Mayor of London and TfL’s no.1 priority: extending the Bakerloo Line. Great news after years of campaigning.

I should have been in Parliament for the Budget but was supporting a constituent at court failed by the incompetent Green/LibDem coalition running Southwark Council. Facing eviction, he was promised legal support from the council, but was sadly badly let down.

How could we forget? The Truss Budget and the Covid inquiry conclusions on how older and disabled people were put at great risk as Tory Ministers lied through their teeth about a ‘protective ring’. Terrible legacy.
