✅I welcome John Healey’s budget measures, delivering energy reforms to help bring down the cost of living. ✅There’s more help with an increase in the minimum wage, alongside support for small businesses through changes to business rates, providing breathing space for families.

🎉I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the Austrian National Day with my gracious hosts at the Austrian Embassy, marking the country's declaration of sovereignty and neutrality post WW2. Our spirits were raised as we listened to "Ode to Joy", which premiered there 2 centuries ago!🎉

💨Lovely to be out with the Leader of the City Council, @cllrkatie, this stormy autumn weekend. It was good to meet people in the Abbey area of the city, to hear what’s important to them. Thanks to everyone who spoke with us. 💨

Help protect yourself, your family and the NHS by having a free flu jab. Flu can be more serious than you think, particularly if you have a health condition, so make sure you get yours if you are eligible and join 10 million others, like me, who have done just that.

Congratulations to the team at Innovate Cambridge for a hugely successful 2026 summit, showcasing how this city continues to be a world leader. Cambridge is the number one innovation-intensive cluster in Europe, second only to Silicon Valley. That is a massive achievement.

🚉It was great to hear in parliament how the flagship East West Rail project is progressing. It will unlock economic potential across the five counties in its corridor. CEO, David Hughes, outlined how the line is fundamental to support growth, employment and higher wages. 🚉

🚗I am delighted to see the government’s new Private Parking Code, something I've campaigned about for many years. 🚗Drivers will now have more time to decide to park, extra leeway before being charged and stronger rights to challenge unfair charges. 🚗It's long overdue.

I am delighted to see Addenbrooke’s Hospital is to receive £7.7 million of government investment for urgent care. The new funding, over four years, will develop digital information about beds, admissions and discharges. This will help patient flow and improve outcomes.

👏It meant a lot to Show Racism the Red Card along with students from @CRC_College It is so encouraging to see young people wearing red to support the message that there is no place for racism in sport or anywhere else. It is great to celebrate equality with them.👏

My view that Britain belongs in the EU was featured on ITV Anglia News - in sharp contrast to the words of Reform's Leader, Nigel Farage. This week I spoke in a debate prompted by a petition on the EU. My position has never changed. We should be in. youtube.com/watch?v=v7KxBTcb…

Cambridge voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU, and I believe our future lies in a closer relationship with our European neighbours. We should be ambitious about rebuilding those ties, removing unnecessary barriers and making the case for a closer partnership.

🚗The government’s new Fuel Finder scheme means drivers will be able to save at the pump. 🚗Near real-time petrol and diesel prices are now being displayed on Google maps for the first time. 🚗It could save motorists an average £40 a year, by seeking out the best prices.

As we approach five years since Russia’s full-scale invasion, Cambridge continues to stand with Ukraine. I recently visited Michael Franklin’s Refuge exhibition and joined the opening of the new Ukrainian Educational Hub in Cambridge. Proud to support our Ukrainian community.

Great to visit @camcitco's Net Zero Retrofit Pilot with Cllr Rosy Moore. Making homes warmer, healthier and more energy efficient cuts carbon, helps tackle damp and mould, and can reduce energy bills too. Great to see Cambridge leading the way on retrofit. 🌍🏡
