Since 2018, we been tracking projects by TVL. The first TVL was locked on @ethereum just $30m
Nobody thought that day that this one number would later become the scoreboard of the entire industry
Then 2021 came. In November, DeFi's TVL was around $175b. Today, on 7 November 2026, DeFi's TVL is $80.88b. That's more than half down from the peak
But the money hasn't disappeared. What has shrunk is the money sitting locked. Where there's real usage, money is still moving
@base tells the same story. It started in August 2023 with just $8m, and today its TVL is $5.76b. In under three and a half years, that's roughly 720x
We all look at this TVL and say Base is growing. But in banking language, a deposit is a liability, and in crypto we call that a milestone. If another chain offers 2% more APY, this money can move there the very next day
So for me, Base's real scoreboard is three numbers- fees, revenue, retention
In the last 30 days, Base's Chain Fees were $2.56m and App Fees were $55m. Next to a $5.76b TVL, the app layer number isn't that bad
100 users who actually pay fees are better than $50M locked, money that's just waiting for a use case
Base is still building adoption without a token. If a token and airdrop come in the future, the real test will be how many stay after the airdrop. Because retention is a metric you can't fake with subsidies
So in my view, when you look at any protocol, instead of looking at TVL first, it's most important to look at revenue and active users 30 days later
TVL tells you how much the protocol has borrowed from strangers and revenue tells you whether it actually has a business
Base's Stocks Maxxing isn't just for devs
@base has started a 1-month competition with 3 tracks and $100,000 in prizes to build tokenized stock products. Partner projects are opening their own reward pools too
@Stonks_Exchange has $25K $15K in holder rewards with 1:1 matching, and $10K in bounties for the first runners on new stocks
@o1_exchange and @feeldotcash have also put up $10K each for top runners
That means even if you are not a dev, you can still take part in the partner projects and have a shot at winning rewards
I think memestock season is coming to Base
I tried @OmenX_Official , a leverage prediction market on @base
You can make predictions on almost anything here, from Asian markets to crypto, spot and finance
You might ask
why use this when Polymarket and Kalshi exist?
In my usage, I found a few real differences. Predictions execute in under a second, while on other platforms signing in and approving the transaction takes a few seconds. You can also take leverage on every prediction
One more thing I liked
when the market moves too far in one direction, the trading option closes even if there's time left. I think this is done to prevent chart manipulation
I'm currently in "India", where @Polymarket " and @Kalshi can't be accessed directly. Some other countries have similar restrictions. I didn't face this problem on OmenX, but check for yourself whether it works in your country
They also have a campaign running for new users: a position voucher of up to $102, but only for the first 50 new users each day
My feedback
On the BTC up/down market, I noticed the odds move before the chart does, which was confusing at first. Later I understood that odds depend on the strike price and the time remaining, so the market prices in the probability early. It would help if the UI explained this a bit
Withdrawals have a $20 minimum. Lowering this limit would help users with small balances. I also didn't understand why a label is mandatory along with the address when withdrawing
Everything else is solid
(Prediction with leverage is risky. Do your own research before jumping in. This is not financial advice)

Jesse said 2027 will be the year of agentic finance. I agree
But many people are still wondering what "agentic finance" actually means. Their discussion is stuck on one question
Can an AI agent make payments?
A real economic task is usually much bigger than that
Imagine giving an agent a simple instruction: "Pay all approved suppliers whose payments are due today."
The agent can find the invoices. It can identify which ones are approved. It can even reason through what needs to be done. @bankrbot is already doing exactly this with a single command
But someone still needs to make sure:
Who is the agent acting on behalf of?
Does it have permission to make these payments?
Which balance will it use?
Through which provider or rail?
What happens if a provider times out?
Did the money actually arrive?
Can the operation safely continue?
This is fundamentally not an AI problem. It's a financial execution problem
The same pattern applies to commerce. An agent finds a product, creates an order, applies loyalty value, initiates payment, arranges fulfillment and communicates with the customer. None of these capabilities alone is an application. The application is connecting all these capabilities into a complete economic operation
We are seeing this in @base 's data too. Over the past year, around 161 million agent-driven transfers have been made on Base through x402, while the total volume is just $39.9M. Out of all monthly active agents, 28.6K are on Base
The average transfer on Base is around $0.065. This means agents are already handling small payments quite comfortably. But when it comes to handling larger amounts, where permissions, balances, rails, and payment confirmation become critical, there's still limited evidence
I think the more capable agents become, the more important this layer of moving from a decision to an actual financial transaction will become
Over the past 24 hours, 33,251 blobs have been posted to @ethereum
And carrying a total of 4.06 GiB of data
Among them, @base alone contributed 11,373 blobs, accounting for 34.2% of the total share. @RobinhoodCrypto Chain came second with 6,402 blobs and a 19.2% share, followed by @aztecnetwork v6 at 7.16%
In other words, "Base" alone is ahead of the second and third-largest contributors combined
@base is currently posting one batch every 28 seconds, with an average of 3.7 blobs per batch. That means it is active, consistent, and sending data in relatively large batches
However, there is another side to the picture
Currently, an average of just 4.6 blobs is being used per Ethereum block, against a target of 14. So even though Base leads the activity, the full blob space is still far from being utilized. Without Base, this space would look even emptier
Why do blobs matter? Because the cheaper blobs become, the lower Base's fees can be. However, this dynamic could change if demand exceeds the target capacity
(Blobs are small data packages where L2 networks like Base store transaction data on Ethereum. Each blob is approximately 128 KB)

Over the past 7 days, @coinbase has ranked second among tokenized stock issuers by DEX trading volume
Coinbase's assets account for 26.7% of total trading volume, just behind @RobinhoodCrypto 's 27.3%
But here's what makes this comparison even more interesting
"Robinhood's" tokenized stock market cap stands at $175.2M, while "Coinbase's" market cap is only $37.6M
That means Coinbase's market cap is just 21.5% of Robinhood's, yet their DEX trading volume shares are almost equal
In other words, Coinbase is generating nearly the same trading activity with a much smaller asset base
And Coinbase's tokenized equities currently have a market cap of $37.6M on @base
This shows how quickly Coinbase's tokenized equity market is expanding through Base
The gap in market cap is huge, but the trading activity tells a different story
Hey guys
Time to stop swapping in @CoinbaseWallet
I used this wallet for more than 10 months. The main reason I'm stepping back is the swap fee
About 6 months ago, the team gave me a 90% fee discount, so I never really felt the fees. When I posted about Coinbase Wallet, many friends told me the fees were high. I didn't notice because I had a discount. Really sorry guys
Now the discount is gone and I finally understand why people are so negative about this. Same wallet, same token ( example $NVDAc), different swap routes. On a roughly $212 swap, Coinbase's built-in swap took a $1.91 fee, about 0.9%. Through Relay inside the same wallet, the price impact was 0.13% with $0.01 gas. On Aerodrome the fee was 0.05% and even adding its 0.48% price impact it's about 0.53% total
For a trader, low fees matter the most. The wallet itself isn't the problem, the built-in swap fee is
When cheaper routes exist in the same wallet, why pay 0.9%?
The "fee rebate" doesn't feel very effective to me either. It seems to me they take a higher fee and give a portion back. You also have to reach a higher status first and until then you pay the full fee
In these 10+ months, I think very few people have reported bugs publicly the way I have. I tested every feature, including perps and prediction market beta, and reported what I found. To be clear, the bug reports were about the Coinbase Wallet app, not the Base chain. My work on @base continues as before
Again, sorry guys. Even after you told me about the fee problem, I didn't understand. Now that it's happening to me, I get it
Base in October
Activity remained strong
DEX volume reached $30.03B, while perps volume stood at $23.16B, growing nearly 4x in a single month. Net inflows were $428M, TVL reached $5.88B and the stablecoin market cap stood at $5.14B
Stablecoin transfer volume over the last 30 days was $2.58T
User activity showed a similar picture. Monthly active addresses reached 7.2M, with 2.39M new addresses added in October
Tokenized stock DEX volume reached $2.5B, up 5.1%
Base is also leading in payments. In the latest month, stablecoin card spending settled on Base reached $259M, the highest among all chains
In FX spot DEX, Base recorded $412M in volume, accounting for approximately 54% of the total across all chains
Lending is active too. Base holds $7.6B in deposits and $2.7B in loans. Over the last 30 days, lending generated $11M in gross interest
In October, chain revenue was $2.54M, while app revenue reached $17.8M
Agentic payments are still in their early stages. According to x402scan, Base recorded 2.67M transactions and $1.11M in volume over the last 30 days
Can i miss anything?
Today is Saturday and the US stock market is closed. But tokenized stocks are still trading on @base
No need to wait for Nasdaq's trading hours or holidays. It's onchain, 24/7
So you can call it now
"Base is the blockchain for the global economy"
Cumulative DEX volume of @coinbase -issued tokenized stocks on @base has now crossed $4.1B, with daily volume regularly exceeding $100M
When "Coinbase" started tokenizing stocks in August 2026, the market cap was around $2M in the first week, with just $36M in DEX volume. Within two months, the market cap reached around $36M, while weekly volume crossed $525M+
That means supply grew nearly 18x and volume around 14x in just two months
let's look at the bigger picture. Now "Foreign investors" hold a record $25.18T in US equities, while onchain tokenized US equities stand at $4.24B, around 0.017% of that amount. Coinbase's share is even smaller
If equities gradually move further onchain, it's worth thinking about how big this market could become
Volume is ~110x market cap, so this is still about trading, not holding. And ~90% of it comes from a single venue, @aeroxyz ($3.7B)
