Telford Town Reserves V FC Nations First 0-4 | Suzuki Premier Cup
@FC_Nations @telfordtownfc
It was a trip back to my hometown of Newport today as FC Nations First travelled to face Telford Town Reserves in the Suzuki Premier Cup.
With autumn finally making its presence felt and strong winds throughout the afternoon, Nations made a fantastic start, scoring three goals before half-time to take control of the tie.
The second half saw a much more physical battle between the two sides, with yellow cards shown to both teams as tensions rose. However, Nations continued to push forward, and Brodie McLeod found the net to make it 4–0 and seal a convincing victory.
A fantastic result for Nations as we book our place in the next round of the Suzuki Premier Cup, with our next opponents yet to be confirmed.
Next week, attention turns back to league action as we return to the Changan Premier League fixtures.
