Borderlands. Join us next Tues 12 November.
Dignity...In this month of remembrance, Borderlands will be considering the way that power and privelege can be used over others...empire, ethnicity, sexuality. And how does reclaiming the dignity of all help us speak truth to power.
We’re screening the Guardians Of The Flame documentary tonight at the John Hewitt. It still moves many people.

One of the remarkable figures of our peace process was Monica McWilliams. This is a short conversation I had with Monica in June at the end of the Service Corrymeela ran for the Day of Reflection at St Anne’s on 21st June. youtu.be/ABAKHiZnEPo?si=5PZR…

We spoke to Monica McWilliams after the service for the Day of Reflection. She spoke of a transformative encounter at Corrymeela in the ‘70’s and also of the ongoing work advocating for victims through brilliant organisations like @WAVETrauma.

The weakness of God should probably be our favourite quality of God.

Putting Troubles files beyond public view for 60+ years is an admission of collusion & guilt in my opinion.
The great notion that “The truth will out!” is in jeopardy.
it’s a disgraceful outcome from the PPS.

A great Irish poet and singer left us today.
She was beautiful, courageous and wore her heart on her sleeve. She was before her time.
Nothing will ever compare to Sinéad O’Connor.
Rest easy Sinéad.

An uplifting end to our Service of Lament as together we said: ‘We stand together committed to the collective courage required to be people of peace. We cannot forget the past or pretend that violence does threaten to return. But we can find new courage as we stand together’.
