jpmorgan is reportedly bringing jpm coin (jpmd) to ethereum mainnet. jpmd is a token for usd deposits at the bank, and only vetted institutions can use it. it could give them onchain cash to settle tokenized assets, like jpmorgan's money-market fund that is already on ethereum. but jpmd has been live on base since november 2025, and one tracked base contract shows only two wallet-to-wallet transfers this year, each for 100 jpmd. so any eth fee benefit depends on real use.
