The family of murdered Detective Garda Colm Horkan say they have “no faith” in the process after the matter of gun holster referred to Fiosru this week.
They say the ombudsman already knew about this for some time and they feel let down by the Minister. More on the Irish Mirror.

More on the arrest of a Kinahan cartel criminal in Spain. The Spanish investigation into a suspected murder takes priority over the Irish warrant, which was also executed.

Just to clarify on this, the Spanish have executed the European Arrest Warrant which was issued from Ireland.
Gardai are however going to wait to extradite this man as the Spanish investigation takes priority for the moment.
The man is understood to be in their custody.
Gardai have executed a European Arrest Warrant on a major Kinahan cartel associate in Spain.
It comes after Spanish authorities first arrested the man in relation to a suspected murder.

Arson in Clanbrassil area of Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

The senior officer here is accused of facilitating suspected drug trafficker Ali Mazidi in calling people in Iran and in speaking to several of his prison buddies by phone, including Kinahan.
There’s also concerns over unsanctioned pyjamas delivered to Kinahan.
