Bucket List. Norway - & only 24 hours in. Getting our Viking on.
Have run out of adjectives, so here’s a few I prepared earlier: exquisite, pristine, majestic, elegantly understated, sublime.
The road from #Oslo to #Flåm: around 5 hours on a coach, snow-dusted fields, a 800-year-old Borgund Stave Church and a pre-dinner pit stop at a Viking bar.
Still to come: Flåm on water & rail; Bergen; & whales AND Northern Lights of Tromsø. 🙏🏼

Did you know that the first women to land on the Normandy beachhead in June 1944 were nurses of Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Nursing Service?
Their task was to establish a field hospital for 600 wounded soldiers.
They succeeded.

First, share their voices. In a time when even speaking puts women at risk, being heard means hope, visibility, and survival.
Second, support our online education program. Despite fear and restrictions, Afghan girls are secretly continuing their studies. You can help by sponsoring internet access so students can attend online classes, or by volunteering as a teacher and sharing your knowledge with girls who have been denied education.
Third, support food aid for widows and women living alone who have no male provider in the household and are often too afraid to go outside.

This is to fascism what garlic is to vampires. FDR knew it and used it to beat back the rise of the Fascist NAZI movement in the USA in the 30s. It’s time for a New, New Deal.
