Well, there you have it @Mark_Butler_MP @AlboMP The [expensive] Urgent Care Centres aren’t having much impact in reducing ED pressures. Maybe it’s time to stop starving the patient rebates for GP visits, and fund Primary Care? Recognise continuity & its potential? #auspol

But, all the while, GPs doing what GPs do best is STILL the cheapest, most efficient healthcare provision to fund, instead getting derailed by UCCs & payroll tax 🤔 What on earth is happening to Primary Care funding in Aus?! @AlboMP @JEChalmers @RACGPPresident @amapresident

Somebody please explain this to me as if I’m 5yo: - Medicare rebates <half the value of a GP consult - We are building urgent care centres & funding them better than Primary Care - If GPs don’t bulk bill enough, we are taxing them to make them more inaccessible @Mark_Butler_MP

I hope that my children, and future generations will look back on today’s Rural Maternity Forum as a historic event. I hope it’s the end to closure of #RuralMaternity and the start of more continuity, choice, access & culturally safe care. Thank you for bringing us together.
