They've just outlined some gameplay changes coming in mid-November:

Kick-off glitch is getting nerfed. Defenders should actually hold their positions.
β
Fullbacks will stop randomly dropping deep and playing everyone onside.
β
Attacking AI is being improved, with smarter runs and better movement around the box.
β
Attackers should be better at timing their runs to stay onside.
β
Player switching is getting some fixes too.
EA are also looking into high-pressure defending, physicality and shooting/GK positioning, although nothing confirmed on those yet.
