There’s no better excuse to gather the team than a one-day competition to see who can build the most useful project.
We’ve done dozens of internal hackathons over the years, and it’s still as exciting as the first one.

We couldn't either. So we built AI Gateway: one entrance to all the AI tools and models a team uses, with personal access for each person, spending limits and a clear view of what it costs. Conversations stay private and are never stored.

Our AI stack had no front door. So we built one.
At @LayerXlab we had 5 GPU machines with no logins, no API keys and no usage limits. Vendor keys were spread across .env files. When a machine slowed down, nobody knew who was using it.
Then a partner told us they had the same problem: idle GPUs and no fair way to share them across teams.
So we built AI Gateway: one OpenAI-compatible API in front of your own GPUs and third-party providers. Your own hardware is used first, and paid vendors only when needed.

Five AI assistants launched in five months, but only two work in Portugal.
Google, Meta, OpenAI, xAI and Instinct (a startup growing fast) all shipped an assistant that does the work instead of describing it. Most of them haven’t reached Europe yet.
That gives companies here a head start to decide what to delegate, and under whose rules.
Two AI launches in three weeks. Is either one AGI?
