Imagine if the parties were inverted.
JUST IN: Democrat operatives spent months finding Alaskans with the same name as Republican Dan Sullivan so they could confuse voters and help Mary Peltola (D), according to The New York Times. A staffer was tasked with finding every voter named "Dan Sullivan" in the state and then contacting them and coaxing them to run for Senate. The plan worked when a man named "Dan J. Sullivan," a retired teacher from a small fishing village that can only be reached by air or ocean, announced he was running. He has held no campaign events, has given very few interviews, and has voted for Democrats in the past. As The Times reported, the Peltola campaign claims it had no involvement in recruiting "Dan J. Sullivan"; however, documents suggest the campaign was actively involved and that the operation was "much broader." "The endeavor, which was internally called the ballot composition project, involved secret trips to far-flung Alaskan communities and the appearance of a mysterious Midwestern operative, who traversed the state using a fake name and made his pitch to would-be candidates over beers at brew pubs," the NYT reports. Peltola was reportedly "definitely aware" of what was going on, according to Peltola's former campaign manager Elisa Rios. Alaska is expected to be one of the closest elections this cycle, and as of now, Peltola is the only Democrat, while there are two Dan Sullivans and another republican named Gerald Heikes, who was also allegedly recruited to take votes from Senator Sullivan. The New York Times reports that they have evidence from *12 people* who participated in the plot. These communists will do something like this and then tell you they are defending democracy.

How do we know anything about ancient Rome? Its most famous historian wrote about events 700 years before he was born. Then scribes copied it by hand for centuries — some bored, some careless, some unable to read Latin. I hate having any fingerprints any dust on my MacBook screen. Can't imagine any reason to want to touch it.

Not worth it. The extra $11,500 for 512 GB (which would allow you to run some frontier-ish models locally) is equivalent to nearly 5 years of Claude Max subscriptions.
Bruh, Apple. The additional 256GB of RAM to 512GB costs a FORTUNE

Not to mention you're probably paying $/GB at the peak.

You can buy another M5 Ultra w/ 256 GB in unified memory for "just" $10,800 vs. the $11,500 extra to add 256 GB. Nuts.

That the Lula-Moraes government sought to seize Bolsonaro’s passport 7 minutes after election results were announced is literally all the proof you need that it’s a political persecution. Honest liberals have to acknowledge this or lose all credibility
brazil supreme court decision to seize flavio bolsonaro’s passports immediately after the election looks like political retribution to most brazilians (and to me).  rule of law not what it should be here.

If you want to see the future, read the Anthropic S-1. The top 10 Fortune 500 customers are spending less than 1% of their opex on Anthropic. Meanwhile, Anthropic has grown its own usage 250x and in April exceeded their monthly personnel expense.

Two weeks after Gemini 4 Argon, and on the heels of Gemini 4 Carbon, the "AI Expanded Access" upgrade option for Workspace STILL advertises Gemini 3.
I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model. Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching. We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards. As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!

Imagine that. Harvard is reinventing a great books college. And the students do really want to put down the phones and pick the classics up. “A lot of what we get out of this class is the human experience, and you can’t get that out of AI,” said Peggy Urdan, a government and neuroscience major from Lexington, Mass. “The only way to get anything out of this class is to not use AI.” wsj.com/lifestyle/harvard-cl…

This is part of why people who try Omarchy on some old potato PC find that their new MacBook machine suddenly isn't very attractive in comparison. There are a lot of common developer tasks that are just way, way faster on Linux (it's the same with Docker!).
The Mac in this test cost $12,000. The PC cost $700.
