The MTA is proposing a new 125 Street Subway, which would extend west from the future 125 St/Lexington Av Q station. The project would connect existing subway lines—including the Second Avenue Subway—and bus routes along the corridor. Learn more about this project at a public scoping meeting; we're hosting two virtual sessions on October 22, and one in-person session on October 27. Register for a session and get all the details: mta.info/project/125-street-…

Big investments aren’t always the ones you see. The MTA’s 2025–2029 Capital Plan was named 2026 Project of the Year at the Regional Plan Association’s Celebrate the Tri-State gala. From replacing aging signals to repairing tracks, structures and power systems, the plan invests in the essential work that makes reliable service possible—and will keep the region moving for decades to come.

More leaves. More trains. Fall foliage season is in full swing. Metro-North carried 170,401 riders last Saturday, so the railroad is adding even more Leaf Peeper trains to get you to the Hudson Valley. Starting tomorrow, 12 additional trains will run each weekend through Nov. 8 between Grand Central and Beacon. Find your fall trip in the TrainTime app.

Right here at the Bryant Park station, the @MTA is building the first elevator funded by congestion pricing. Business is up, traffic is down. Now we’re putting billions to work on transit upgrades that will improve the rides of millions.
