Stacey started strength training in her late forties and holds a Level 2 Strength Training Coaching qualification from British Weightlifting. She currently coaches at Durham Amateur Rowing Club and developed an Introduction to Strength Training course for masters rowers. Huge congratulations to Helen, who has completed the Atlantic Coast Challenge in support of NRAS. Over three days, Helen ran the equivalent of three marathons, covering around 78 miles from Padstow to Land’s End. Reflecting on her challenge, Helen said: “Turning 50 next year has inspired me to push my limits and embrace this milestone with purpose. But the true motivation behind this challenge lies much closer to my heart. My sister was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 39 while raising young twins. Witnessing her courage and resilience in the face of such a relentless disease has been both humbling and inspiring. She never complains, never gives up. She simply keeps moving forward despite the pain.” Helen initially set herself a fundraising target of £250. She has since smashed that goal by raising more than £3,000! We’re incredibly grateful for your support, Helen, and we love these photos from your journey through the beautiful (and very hilly) Cornish coastline. #ChallengeYourself #SupportLovedOnes #ChangeLives

Hot flushes. Fatigue. Brain fog. Joint pain. If you have rheumatoid arthritis, you'll already know these symptoms well. With October being #MenopauseAwarenessMonth, we have launched our Menopause and RA ‘NRAS express module’ on our FREE e-Learning Platform, SMILE-RA. 🔗 To get started and register today: nras.org.uk/smile #RheumatoidArthritis #ELearning
