🚨 $WMT — A 46 P/E FOR A LOW-MARGIN RETAILER? THIS IS AN OBVIOUS SHORT CANDIDATE IN MY VIEW.
Wall Street continues treating Walmart as a defensive safe haven, but at approximately 46× earnings, I believe $WMT is one of the most overpriced large-cap stocks in the market.
The problem isn't Walmart's business. It's the enormous premium investors are paying for a mature retailer operating on razor-thin margins during an increasingly challenging economic environment.
🔴 THE ECONOMIC HEADWINDS ARE STACKING UP
• Persistent inflation pressures consumers and operating expenses.
• Record or elevated consumer debt and expensive credit pressure household purchasing power.
• Rising diesel and fuel costs threaten Walmart's massive transportation and distribution network.
• Labor, utilities, logistics, and inventory costs threaten already thin operating margins.
• Consumer trade-down behavior may support sales while shifting purchases toward lower-margin essentials.
🚨 NOW COMPARE WALMART TO ACTUAL HIGH-MARGIN GROWTH COMPANIES.
Consider the business models of:
💻 $MSFT Microsoft: High-margin enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, recurring subscriptions, and AI monetization.
🔎 $GOOGL Alphabet: Enormous advertising cash flow, cloud growth, AI opportunities, and operating margins dramatically above traditional retail.
📱 $META Meta: Highly profitable digital advertising with tremendous operating leverage and comparatively limited physical distribution exposure.
🖥️ $NVDA Nvidia: Exceptional semiconductor profitability, AI infrastructure demand, and significantly higher gross and operating margins.
💾 $MU Micron: Benefiting from AI-driven memory demand and a favorable memory cycle, with the potential for substantial earnings growth.
🔌 $AVGO Broadcom: High-margin infrastructure software, semiconductor exposure, and AI networking demand.
☁️ $ORCL Oracle: Enterprise software, recurring revenue, and cloud infrastructure opportunities.
💳 $V Visa and $MA Mastercard: Asset-light payment networks with extraordinary operating margins and far less direct exposure to fuel-intensive retail distribution.
Even companies such as $AAPL, $ADBE, $CRM, and $AMZN's AWS business possess significant high-margin revenue streams that Walmart's traditional retail operations simply cannot replicate.
Not every one of these companies is growing faster than Walmart in every reporting period, and some face substantial valuation or cyclical risks of their own. But many offer dramatically better margins, stronger operating leverage, and more attractive structural growth opportunities.
SO WHY IS WALL STREET WILLING TO PAY A TECHNOLOGY-LIKE MULTIPLE FOR A GROCERY-DOMINATED RETAILER?
Walmart has legitimate growth opportunities in advertising, marketplace services, and membership revenue. But those businesses remain only part of its enormous low-margin retail operation.
📉 THE MULTIPLE COMPRESSION RISK IS MASSIVE.
Assuming a 46 P/E and unchanged earnings:
• Revaluation to 35× = 24% downside
• Revaluation to 30× = 35% downside
• Revaluation to 25× = 46% downside
And if earnings estimates begin declining simultaneously, the downside could become considerably worse.
🎯 OPTIONSPLAYERS BEARISH THESIS
Walmart may be a defensive business, but that does not make $WMT a defensive stock at any valuation.
I would much rather evaluate companies with superior margins, scalable business models, and stronger long-term earnings growth potential than pay 46 times earnings for a retailer facing inflation, consumer debt stress, and increasing logistics costs.
Walmart's business resilience is precisely why investors have crowded into the stock. But when everyone pays an excessive premium for perceived safety, that safety can become an illusion.
My position: $WMT is an attractive short candidate based on valuation asymmetry, potential margin pressure, and the risk of a significant earnings-multiple reset.

OPTIONSPLAYERS | BULLISH STOCK THESIS 🚀 $MU — ONE OF THE BEST OPPORTUNITIES ON THE BOARD!
Micron Technology ($MU) may represent one of the most compelling combinations of earnings power, valuation, and long-term growth potential in the entire semiconductor sector.
While Wall Street continues to focus on AI leaders like $NVDA, $AMD, and $AVGO, investors should recognize something critically important:
Artificial intelligence cannot function without memory, and the world's demand for advanced memory is exploding.
Micron is positioned directly in the middle of that demand surge.
Unlike many AI-related companies whose valuations depend heavily on profits several years into the future, Micron is already benefiting from demand for DRAM, NAND, and high-bandwidth memory (HBM).
The opportunity is not simply that Micron manufactures memory chips. It's that memory is becoming an increasingly valuable and indispensable component of the global AI infrastructure buildout.
🚨 $MU — ONE OF THE BEST STOCKS ON THE BOARD!
1️⃣ INCREDIBLY ATTRACTIVE VALUATION
While investors pay enormous premiums for many AI stocks, Micron has recently traded around just 6–7 times forward earnings by some analyst estimates.
That is an exceptionally low multiple for a company experiencing explosive earnings growth.
The market appears to be pricing Micron like a traditional cyclical memory manufacturer rather than a critical supplier to the global AI revolution.
2️⃣ THE WORLD HAS AN INSATIABLE APPETITE FOR MEMORY
Every AI data center, advanced GPU, cloud server, smartphone, autonomous vehicle, and next-generation computing system requires memory.
And AI workloads are dramatically increasing the amount of memory required.
$NVDA may manufacture the AI processing engines, but those processors cannot perform effectively without the high-bandwidth memory supplied by companies like $MU.
3️⃣ THE FINANCIAL RESULTS ARE EXTRAORDINARY
Micron's latest reported fiscal quarter delivered:
💰 Revenue: $54.23 billion, versus $11.32 billion a year earlier.
📈 Adjusted EPS: $33.42.
💵 Operating cash flow: $43.97 billion.
For fiscal 2026, Micron generated $133.19 billion in revenue versus $37.38 billion the previous year.
These are not speculative future profits. These are reported results.
4️⃣ MEMORY SUPPLY IS NOT EASY TO EXPAND
Unlike software, advanced memory manufacturing requires enormous capital investments, specialized facilities, and years of development.
The global DRAM market is dominated by three major manufacturers: Micron, Samsung, and SK Hynix.
That concentration, combined with surging AI demand, creates the potential for sustained pricing strength.
Higher memory prices can translate into extraordinary earnings leverage.
5️⃣ HBM IS CHANGING MICRON'S BUSINESS MODEL
High-bandwidth memory is increasingly essential to AI accelerators.
Micron is already shipping HBM4 in volume, with HBM4E development progressing toward expected production in 2027.
This moves Micron further toward advanced, high-value memory products rather than relying exclusively on commodity memory pricing.
6️⃣ THE POTENTIAL FOR A VALUATION RE-RATING
Here is what makes $MU particularly interesting.
If earnings remain strong and investors become convinced that AI demand has structurally improved the memory industry's profitability, Micron could command a higher earnings multiple.
Consider the mathematics:
A company trading at 6 times earnings that eventually commands 10 times those same earnings would experience approximately 67% multiple-driven upside, assuming earnings remain unchanged.
That is not a price target, but it demonstrates the potential impact of a valuation re-rating.

🇺🇸 Speculation Plays: Massive Defense Money Flow — Where Could It Go?
President Trump just signed a $1 TRILLION defense budget — the biggest jump in U.S. military spending since World War II.
But this isn’t “business as usual.”
This budget shifts spending into three NEW priority lanes:
🔹 Next-gen weapons (AI, hypersonics, lasers)
🔹 Homeland security tech (border systems, drone protection, “smart” walls)
🔹 Manufacturing onshoring (U.S.-made chips, minerals, optics)
When Washington changes where the money flows — Wall Street eventually notices.
These are speculative watch-list ideas, not buy alerts.
We’re simply highlighting companies positioned in front of the new spending wave.
Now let’s dive in 👇
1️⃣ Palantir (PLTR)
Palantir builds AI software that connects satellites, drones, radar, and battlefield intelligence into one unified military brain.
They recently secured $11B in government contracts — meaning if AI-driven defense ramps, Palantir becomes the backbone.
Speculation angle: If the military moves deeper into AI command-and-control, PLTR is already embedded.
2️⃣ AeroVironment (AVAV)
Makes tactical drones that carry missiles for infantry squads.
The military is shifting strategy — instead of just elite drone units, every squad is expected to have attack drones.
They also have a long-range Army contract expected this quarter.
Speculation angle: If drone warfare scales down to every unit, AVAV demand could scale up.
3️⃣ LightPath Technologies (LPTH)
One of the few U.S. suppliers of Germanium optics — critical for military targeting and night-vision systems.
They have a guaranteed customer base with major funding behind them. Watch for potential Lockheed contracts in Q1/Q2.
Speculation angle: Scarce supplier + required materials = leverage.
4️⃣ Ondas Holdings (ONDS)
Builds electronic warfare tech that jams enemy drones — costing pennies instead of $100K missiles.
Congress passed the Safer Skies Act, expanding demand for domestic counter-drone tech.
Border protection tenders could push shares significantly if awarded.
Speculation angle: If drone threats rise, cheap jamming beats expensive missiles.
5️⃣ RTX Corporation (RTX)
Produces Patriot missiles and hypersonic defense systems.
They hold a $218B backlog locked through 2032 — essentially seven years of revenue visibility.
Speculation angle: When defense spending is guaranteed, Wall Street often re-rates stability.
6️⃣ Park Aerospace (PKE)
Supplies composite materials for Patriot missile bodies.
They’re the sole-source provider — meaning the military literally has no alternative.
Patriot spending is committed for seven years.
Speculation angle: Smaller company + guaranteed demand = potential outsized percentage moves.
7️⃣ Tower Semiconductor (TSEM)
Manufactures specialized defense chips in the U.S.
The law now requires domestically made chips in weapons systems — drones, missiles, surveillance tech.
Speculation angle: Onshoring + government premium pricing = strategic advantage.
8️⃣ Rocket Lab (RKLB)
Builds complete satellite systems for military space operations.
Already secured an $800M missile defense satellite contract.
Speculation angle: Space is the new battlefield — and they’re early.
9️⃣ Kratos Defense (KTOS)
Developer of jet-powered combat drones designed to fly alongside fighter jets.
Exposure across multiple key programs: unmanned combat, hypersonics, space.
Speculation angle: If man+drone combat becomes standard — KTOS is positioned.
🔟 nLIGHT (LASR)
Creates high-power lasers used in directed-energy weapons.
Lasers cost dollars vs $100K missiles, changing the math entirely against drone swarms.
Speculation angle: If laser defense works — it becomes irresistible.

Agentic commerce: Is this the next big catalyst for $PYPL?
PayPal just rolled out its AI-driven shopping services, tapping into one of the deepest global payment networks in the game. If agentic commerce really is the next wave of online spending, PYPL is sitting in a prime seat to benefit and scale fast worldwide.
Meanwhile, the stock is still acting like a forgotten name:
Down ~29.3% year-to-date
Trading at just ~10.37x earnings vs. an industry average near 19.74x
Zacks Consensus is calling for roughly 14.8% EPS growth in 2025
That’s classic OP setup territory: real business, real cash flow, real growth potential — but priced like it’s in trouble.
And while Wall Street is just starting to connect the dots on PayPal’s AI and agentic commerce potential, OP Lifers are already stacking. Today’s OP Lifers play paid some members who entered around $500 well over $7,000 on the trade. That’s not theory, that’s execution.

$NLST Speculative Case (Full Monetization + Strategic Partnerships or Acquisitions)
In a scenario where Netlist not only wins its cases but also secures high-margin recurring royalties and becomes a central licensing force in memory technology:
•Some speculative projections suggest $10 to $20/share or more
•That would reflect long-term value from scaling its patent enforcement and licensing business
This is high risk, high reward—and would take time, favorable court outcomes, and execution on licensing deals.
🧠 Factors That Support Bullish Sentiment
•Strong IP portfolio, validated by multiple court rulings
•Legal wins with large damage awards
•Emerging DDR5 and HBM3 memory markets, where Netlist holds key patents
•Potential for lucrative licensing deals or eventual acquisition interest
OptionsPlayers Morning Market Brief – Thursday, July 3rd
U.S. stock futures edged slightly higher early Thursday as traders locked in positions ahead of a packed day of economic data and the final trading session before the July 4th holiday break.
As of 03:30 ET, Dow futures were up 39 points (+0.1%), S&P 500 futures added 6 points (+0.1%), and Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 33 points (+0.1%).
Wall Street put in another strong session yesterday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite both notching fresh record closes, powered by tech strength. The Dow, while flat, remains within striking distance of its all-time high.
💥 Trade Deal Momentum & Tech Rally
President Trump helped boost market sentiment Wednesday with a surprise trade agreement with Vietnam, a critical hub for footwear and apparel production. Stocks like Nike (NKE) responded positively, and big-cap tech names like Nvidia (NVDA) and Apple (AAPL) continued their climb.
While a weaker-than-expected private payrolls number initially weighed on the market, traders quickly flipped that into a "bad news is good news" narrative — betting the Fed will move quicker to cut rates.
📊 NFPs & Economic Avalanche Incoming
Today’s fireworks won’t just be in the sky. At 8:30 AM ET, we get a barrage of labor market and trade data, including:
•Nonfarm Payrolls (Jun)

•Factory Orders (10 AM ET)
•Fed’s Bostic speaks (11 AM ET)
•Rig Counts + GDPNow (1 PM ET)
🔄 U.S. Lifts Chip Design Export Ban on China
Another bullish headline: the U.S. Commerce Department rescinded restrictions on chip design exports to China, benefiting companies like Synopsys (SNPS) and Cadence Design Systems (CDNS). Shares surged in extended trade. This signals that, despite tariffs, tech trade may be thawing.
🏛️ D.C. Drama: GOP Races Toward Fiscal Bill Deadline
In Washington, GOP lawmakers are scrambling to secure votes for a Trump-backed tax and spending package that extends the 2017 tax cuts, boosts military spending, and expands border security. With a self-imposed July 4th deadline, conservative concerns over deficits and Medicaid cuts are causing friction — but leadership is pushing hard.
🧨 The “Squeason” is Heating Up
Heading into today’s early close (1 PM ET), $QQQ closed yesterday at 550.80 (+0.7%). If bulls can push through 552.80, it sets the stage for an explosive continuation of this squeeze-driven rally.

•544
•535
•525
•513
•Psychological level: 500
🪙 Quick Market Glance
