Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dolores Huerta, a fierce organizer, labor leader, and feminist activist. Her life's work was a testament to the power of the people. She understood that organizing and raising our voices were only the beginning. Lasting change comes from putting that collective power into action and making our voices heard at the ballot box. Thank you, Dolores, for showing generations of changemakers what it means to fight out loud and on purpose.

The Atlanta University Center in the #FightingFifth has always been where Black excellence comes to study history—and make it. Today, I marched alongside hundreds of AUC students to the polls, carrying forward a powerful legacy of students who have organized, marched, and made their voices heard.

I’m leading my colleagues in condemning Trump’s sham “committee of inquiry” targeting Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook. Trump stacked this committee with his own appointees, making it clear he has no interest in giving Governor Cook a fair hearing. He’s determined to remove her at any cost. Trump is ignoring due process for his own partisan agenda, and that should worry everyone.

Atlanta has lost a dedicated champion for civil rights. Tom Houck spent his life fighting for justice, preserving our history, and reminding new generations that the work continues. Leslie, Carter, and I send our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who loved him.

I met with law enforcement officials from across the #FightingFifth to discuss how our community can best protect voters’ access to the ballot and ensure confidence in our free and fair elections. Thank you to everyone who participated in this timely conversation.

The best way I can thank our veterans for their service is to fight for them, both in Washington, D.C., and right here at home in the #FightingFifth. At my Veterans Town Hall & Resource Fair, I heard directly from veterans about the challenges they face and the support they need. I’ll take those stories and concerns back to the halls of Congress and keep taking action out loud and on purpose on their behalf. You dedicated your lives to service, and best believe I’m dedicating my life to serving you in Congress!

I’m sick and tired of the Trump Administration’s endless attacks on our right to vote. Despite ample evidence that noncitizen voting is extremely rare, Trump continues to manufacture this criss while laying the groundwork and preemptively undermining election results. I have seen this playbook before, and I refuse to stand by while our democracy is under attack across our country.
