๐ That's 3 wins in their last 4 Premier League games for Aston Villa beating top the table today. And they've got 100% record in the Champions League too.
But it's not just how Aston Villa are playing under Unai Emery that's so ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ก๐๐๐ก๐, it's the way he keeps the club moving forward despite losing so many important players this summer:
โช๏ธThey lost their best player to Chelsea.
โช๏ธThey lost their best defender to Arsenal.
โช๏ธThey lost their midfield engine to Man Utd.
โช๏ธThey lost their left-back to PSG.
โช๏ธThey lost their top scorer to Saudi.
โช๏ธThey lost their World Cup winning goalkeeper to Chelsea.
Emery demands maximum intensity and the highest standards from his team, consistently finding ways to win football matches. No excuses, just hard work.

Aston Villa can confirm that Emi Martรญnez has completed a permanent transfer to Chelsea.
Emi joined the club from Arsenal in 2020 and has been a commanding presence in goal throughout his time at the club, which culminated in him helping Villa win the UEFA Europa League in May.
He earned his first international caps while at Aston Villa, going on to win two Copa Amรฉrica titles and a FIFA World Cup with Argentina.
He was also twice named the world's number one goalkeeper, picking up successive Yashin Trophies in 2023 and 2024 as well as two The Best FIFA Football awards.
With his stellar performances and infectious competitive nature, Emi will always be remembered for his part in our recent journey and success and leaves Aston Villa with the very best wishes of everyone at the football club.

โItโs been an immense privilegeโ
Anthony Taylor has retired from elite officiating after a distinguished career spanning more than two decades and 831 matches.
Trusted with the some of the biggest fixtures in domestic and international football, Anthony officiated every major domestic cup final and represented English refereeing on the global stage at two FIFA World Cups and two UEFA European Championships as well as taking charge of the 2021 UEFA Nations League final, the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup final and the 2023 UEFA Europa League final.
Anthonyโs final appointment - the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 tie between Portugal and Spain - was a fitting way to conclude an astounding career.
