11.5 Mid Week College Football
•Mario Sanders o69.5 Rec Yds -114 (FD)
Super rare mid week football play for me. The former Illinois WR has been the go to guy for this Southern Miss team. Tonight they face JMU who is 7-2 on the season but coming off two straight losses. One glaring issue for this James Madison team is their pass defense that ranks bottom 10 in the country. James Madison can put up points and Southern Miss is going to have to do the same. They will rely on their star WR here tonight.
NFL Week 9
•Sione Vaki o18.5 Rush Yds -115 (MGM)
Vaki had his breakout game last week vs the Vikings where he ran for 65 yards on 11 carries. He’s been seeing more and more snaps each week and with Jahmyr Gibbs having an insane workload so far to start the year, the Lions want to keep him fresh as they have a very tough stretch of games to end the year. This week they get the Dolphins before heading to Germany and facing the Patriots. The Lions would be stupid to give Gibbs 20+ touches in this game and after what Vaki did last week, he definitely earned a role and I wouldn’t be shocked if this backfield isn’t more 65/35 this week.

Thursday Night Football
•Justice Hill o14.5 Rec Yds -114 (FD)
Joe Fagnano is starting for the Ravens and he is an undrafted rookie out of UConn where he threw the ball a ton. You aren’t going to be able to run the ball on this Jaguars team which means he will be in a ton of passing situations tonight. The Jaguars know this and they are going to send a ton of blitzes and different looks his way. This will lead to needing to get the ball out quick and I love Justice Hill to grub in the receiving game here tonight.
11.5 College Basketball POD
•South Alabama -4.5 -121 (BetRivers)
•South Alabama -9.5 +180 (Bet Rivers)
South Alabama is coming off a 21-12 season that saw them a win away from making the NCAA Tournament. While they lose all 5 starters from last years squad, they return 5 bench players that all had a role last year and will play meaningful minutes this year. They added an elite shooter in the portal in Jalen Langsy who despite being division II shot 51% from 3 on over 200 attempts!!!! Now he probably won’t shoot over 50% at the D1 level but he will easily be north of 40%. They face a Jacksonville State team that returns one player from last years squad and he played a whopping 0 minutes. They have a bunch of transfers from all over the country and they still don’t have a true PG. They were able to come away with a win against a lower division school in their first game but now facing this very good South Alabama team, I expect them to look a lot more confused and disoriented.
11.5 College Basketball
•VMI +25.5 -120 (HardRock)
VMI is one of the hardest places to try and build a basketball program as they are a strict military school. However after finishing 6-26 a year ago they return 3 starters including their leading scorer TJ Johnson, Their star G Ricky Bradley who missed all of last season but put up 17 a game in 2024-25. They also bring back an elite defender in AJ Clark and after they struggled down low last year they added some depth to the front court and should be better there this year. They face SMU who lost every starter from a NCAA tournament team. They added some solid transfers including Rowan Brumbaugh who is an elite scorer. However none of these other guys have tons of experience and they’ve never played with each other. Coming in facing a team full of guys who know each other and have experience I’m not expecting a 26+ point blowout in this one.
