Bubba Day grew up in rural Kearney, Nebraska, with the dream of one day pitching in the College World Series.
His father, Damon Day, was a coach of over 20 years for the local college team, but when the University of Nebraska Kearney program was cut, it was unclear what @BubbaDay2027's future of pitching in college might look like.
This is the story of a kid from small-town America taking a leap of faith, building a relationship deeper than coaching, and getting one step closer to his ultimate goal of pitching in Omaha.

Big leaguers judge bullpens by execution, college guys judge them by velo 📝
You’ll see a college arm light up the gun at 95 in a pen and call it a good rep, even if the ball missed by two feet. A big leaguer throws the same pitch, misses the spot, and he’s pissed -- because velo wasn’t the goal of that rep.
That’s the difference in standards. One is chasing numbers and the other is chasing execution that actually translates to the game.
From upper 70s to topping 89 mph. 🚀
Here's how @Reidbronson35 did it with coach @PrieveAndrew. ⬇️
But the big piece of it is that he’s in-zone. Reid used to dot in pens and lose it in-game, but now he’s throwing the hardest he ever has while filling up the zone and competing. ⚡
He’s knocking on the door for 90 mph. 💪
