When a resident sponsors a tree through @treesforstreets, they get to say where they’d like it planted. Their council does a survey. If all ok, a tree is put in that following winter.

Warrender Park in Hillingdon became a santuary for Sheila during lockdown, in a time where green space was difficult to get to. Since sponsoring a tree, Sheila now has an even more personal connection to a place she already held so dear.

This summer's heatwaves were tough on young trees, but thanks to hundreds of London residents who signed up as Watering Champions, over 500 newly planted urban trees received extra watering alongside council schemes. 🌳💧
