I’ve refrained from saying much for months, but I’ll keep it short: this man has never been more right. Hearing his story — and others — is oddly comforting because I know we didn’t do anything wrong. We poured every penny, every ounce of energy into it, stayed up late, and built something real with real momentum. While others got funded, we were overlooked again and again. We truly felt we had something different that base needed — a powerful community that responded to us — but somehow, we still got left behind.

i can go on - like back to the days we held twitter spaces with hundreds of ppl inviting Jesse and friends only to be ignored but i’ll stop here for now.
Base wrecked a lot of builders who subscribed to their culture and that ain’t right
I can relate I never once got acknowledge either got followed by Jesse after meeting him at ETH Denver almost 3 years later they treated him like a celerbertiy so dumb.
My Base journey with no grants, acknowledgment etc.
1: Started with my dev quiz & developer feedback to create Base chain at ETH Denver 2023 as a hackathon builder.
2: I built in every single hackathon & buildathon not missing one them including every single Batches.
3. Flew out to many locations to help developers submit for batches prior to deadlines for the love and passion costing me quite a bit of money.
4. Built & proposed the first hybrid web app that was used in the Base docs and shared the open source code with them they then used and in the docs, what I got in return more base app invites to hand out.
5. I brought over 15 IRL companies onchain with tons of TVL value connecting businesses onchain building new protocols.
6. Built for nobody but Base at all ETH Denver buildathons / bounty tracks 2024, 2025 & 2026.
7. I taught people even at Stanford in LA for a medical BIOS all on Base with other big web3 companies, teached builders, guided them, contributed to all open source.
The list goes on but to this day nothing, not a follow, no grants, I applied to work for them got denied cuz Connor is a mornon they hired nothing but people who couldn't even operate a wallet, those people then funded their friends etc. Now they are fired.
Very disappointing on top of that they removed the onchain kit, wiped all SDKs and rugged every dev - project that built up Base App to the greatness it was then rugged us costing all of us so much time and money.
