I'm a retired UPS guy of 43 years, and before that I was in the USAF. I'm a husband, father, and grandfather. I'm also a lifelong Christian conservative who stands with MAGA, MAHA, and the American way. I study the Bible. It is God's word, period. I believe in the supremacy of the United States Constitution as the founders laid it out.
I post original takes and some articles, and algorithm analysis. I post a lot of veteran stories to give them the attention they deserve. They deserve far more than that, but that's all I can do on X.
I love finely crafted beer by local brewers. You might say I'm a beer snob, but I won't judge you if you simply like the factory beers. It's all good, it's beer.
Patriots are always welcome on my page, whether as mutuals, commentary, or both. I block bots and burner accounts, both foreign and domestic, who try to follow me or attack me on my page. Everybody else I judge by the feed. If your feed is suspicious or you post from the left, you get kicked to the curb. If you never post, then I'm probably not going to follow back. If you're a reply-only account, you're welcome to follow, but I probably won't follow back. The only reason to follow an account is to see their posts. If you never post, there is no need.
If you're here for real talk and the occasional fired-up run-on about our love for this country, pull up a chair. If you like to talk the algorithm and what makes X tick, then we can have a conversation. I like to talk about my genealogy research of my family and using Grok Bot to get that done.
Absolutely no DMs without permission. All others get deleted. Put a link in the DM and you're blocked. No crypto. No coins. No "opportunities." Don't ask.
I also need my coffee in the morning, so don't be surprised if I start the day grumpy. Though I'm mostly peaceful.
I'm putting more about my experience in the first reply if you're curious. If not, that's fine, have a nice day.
Goodnight, X. Time to recharge the battery. See everyone tomorrow morning for coffee.

Remember Walt, the Red Baron pizza guy those Instagram pranksters picked on? He just showed us what kind of man he is.
People gave him $784,273 in one week. Instead of letting it keep growing, Walt shut off donations on Thursday.
"If you have the means and would like to continue helping others, please consider supporting another fundraiser, a local charity, or a church helping families in need this holiday season."
He also decided not to do any interviews. He said his family's safety and privacy come first.
A hardworking dad who gets a windfall and points the generosity back at churches and families in need. That's character. God bless Walt and his family. I hope he pays off his mortgage so he can put that stress behind him and have more time with his family.

Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer is still taking care of his fellow troops, and what he's finding is a disgrace.
Hegseth put him on the Pentagon's Barracks Task Force. He has toured more than eight bases so far and plans to hit 30 by the end of the year. He found troops who went a year without hot water. Some are sleeping in their cars because the barracks have no air conditioning.
A 19-year-old service member told him her one wish was a hot shower.
"They're asking for a door that locks. They're asking to be able to go to sleep in a place that doesn't have mold. I mean, they're asking for light bulbs."
Meyer says Hegseth "doesn't expect me to observe this, study it, or to make it better. He expects me to fix it."
His standard for fixed is simple. Places he'd be okay with his own daughters living in. Our troops deserve at least that.

X seems dead today. Probably for the best. My fever is staying down but I just feel blah. Sound hurts. π What's with these accounts that come to your page posting links to their own stuff trying to take viewers away?π
Guy tried to trash my algo update with old data and fancy charts. We keep it simple around here. I blocked the clown from Thailand. I would never ever think to do that to another account.

This is what real journalism used to look like. Dig in and find out.
Before Michigan voters went to the polls, somebody was busy cleaning up Abdul El-Sayed's Wikipedia page.
According to the New York Post, researchers Ashley Rindsberg and Yehuda Teitelbaum tracked the edits. One editor, "CopyleftEverything," spent months softening the page. "Has never been granted a medical license" became "did not pursue a medical license." Hasan Piker, the streamer who once said "America deserved" 9/11, lost the word "controversial." Paragraphs about El-Sayed's tensions with Michigan's Jewish community were deleted twice in October.
The same editor made dozens of edits to pages for socialist and communist groups.
Teitelbaum called it "an organized effort to change the narrative."
Voters deserve the facts, not a campaign makeover dressed up as an encyclopedia. This is why I don't take Wikipedia at its word.

One of my favorite actors of all time. I miss the days when you could look up to people like this man.
Jimmy Stewart had just won the Oscar for Best Actor. He could have used his Hollywood ties to stay out of combat. Instead he went to war and flew missions over Europe in World War II.
Director Aaron Burns recounts Stewart's answer when reporters asked him why: "Is patriotism too corny of an answer to you? I love my country."
The film "Jimmy" tells that story, with KJ Apa playing Stewart. His daughter Kelly Stewart helped make it. She shared the wartime journal she found in his nightstand after he died in 1997. She says her dad never talked about the war. Burns says Stewart was haunted by the men lost under his command.
That's what a real American star looks like. Love of country was never corny. A story worth remembering as Veterans Day approaches.

The king of trolls is trolling the left again, and this may be one of his best.
Trump is floating Dana White for White House press secretary, complete with UFC fighters as his assistants. π
"We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!"
Dana posted a picture of himself at the briefing room podium with "On to the next chapter."
No confirmed appointment. Trump may just be having fun, but Dana dealing with the news media would be worth watching. They'd have their hands full.

With Democrats stealing Congress again and threatening investigations instead of fulfilling their promises, we have to relearn some old phrases.
Repeat after me: "Nothing burger."
Remember that one? It's about to be one of the most-posted phrases once again.

Two things are obvious because Trump has said them himself: He likes Susie Wiles, and he likes Stephen Miller.
Susie was a peacetime chief when the party had control and everyone had to get along.
Stephen is a wartime chief for when the party has lost control and the administration faces constant threats and attacks.
It's really as simple as that. Everything else is hearsay unless Trump said it.

X updated the code behind its algorithm last night. Likes, reposts, replies and quotes still count the same.
Here's what did change in plain English.
Some changes help X process possible posts for your feed more efficiently. Others change how its behind-the-scenes systems handle information and untested spam detectors.
X also named a prediction model for a video carousel, a row of videos you could browse in your feed. But the carousel and that model are NOT LIVE YET. Both are still switched off in the visible code.
Reposts count a little more than a like, but far less than a reply or quote. Replies and quotes carry equal weight.

@grok did Trump change his Chief of staff after Republicans lost the midterms in 2018? Answer Yes or No only.
