One of the things I’m most proud of is letting my music reflect who I’m becoming even tho I already know how to make music as the person my audience first met. I think a lot of artists get stuck in the trap of constantly writing about the same shit they were writing about when the world first heard them. It’s definitely the safer play but for me it’s just not as fun to return to a subject over and over with nothing new to say about it just cuz you think it’ll sell or cuz you feel obligated to stay who your audience first met out of fear they won’t connect with who you are now. And maybe they won’t. But I mean shit, do you fw you tho lol like do you fw just being shackled to a perception of yourself? Imo that’s just super crippling and a confidence killer...very slippery slope lol challenging yourself to make GREAT music from the various stages of your life is hella fun and very freeing and the reward outside of fulfillment is longevity. Random thoughts but yea 🥂

Literally one of the greatest executives of all time. A real record man.

I shouldn’t dignify your comments with a response, but I believe it’s important to stomp out cultish ignorance. I’ve worked in music for 24 years. I’m hard-pressed to name a more caring, thoughtful, and passionate executive in music than Tunji.

it was one year ago today i met and saw @Xchrispatrick for the first time opening up for j.i.d. little did i know he'd become one of my favorite dude's ever. now he's a xxl freshman, one of the biggest upcoming rappers, and a man with pure dedication. keep the grind up big bro 🙏🏻
All Tunji ever did was show love to the artist he worked with across the board.
Can’t believe I’m seeing niggas slander somebody who’s done nothing but uplift black art throughout his career.
