What a fantastic day we’ve had with your lovely children. It’s been tiring but a blast! They are a credit to you.
Photos to follow over on google classroom and a quick reminder that it’s our first PE day tomorrow.
See you tomorrow for more fun 🤩
We have been learning about the Rainforest and the different layers. We created our own Kapok tree out of natural materials 🌴🌳🌴
We’ve been working hard to see who can make the tallest tower! 🏙️We’ve had a go at trying different shapes at the bottom to see if it helps with the structure 🟦🔷🔵 It’s really helped us to build our resilience because it can be really frustrating when the tower falls down!
‘I’ve made a poster about keeping rainforests safe because they are important to some animals as it is their habitats and rainforests also provide some of our food and medicine’
We couldn’t have put it better ourselves! 🌍 @EcoSchoolsWales

Jen from Cardiff Libraries came to launch the Summer Reading Challenge in Thornhill last week. Head over to the library to register from Saturday 8th- what a great way to get children reading for pleasure! #tpsllc #TPSreading
Calling all book worms – there’s not long until the #SummerReadingChallenge kicks off!
This year, we’re so excited to team up with the @YouthSportTrust to discover the power of sport and play through reading 📚
Sign up at your local library or head to summerreadingchallenge.org.u…
We’ve had a super afternoon learning the African folk song Che Che Kule, we looked at the rhythm and the different beats each instruments makes 🥁 🎼🎤 We then put it all together to make our own band! Take a look at our performance (1R)
We had a great time exploring our local area yesterday! We kept our eyes peeled on a scavenger hunt to see what we could find! We were impressed with how much nature their is around Thornhill! 🐝 🐱 🌳 🌺
After our scavenger hunt around Thornhill we looked at what we already have and things we wish we had in our local area. We decided to design some of our own attractions we thought would benefit a Thornhill! @VisitCardiff @cardiffcouncil what do you think of our ideas?
This superstar just noticed that we can recycle our book bags #makingconnections #authenticlearning
We wrote and hid some numbers for our friends and then asked them to go on a number hunt 🔍 Once they found the numbers they had to sort them into odd and even groups! We then talked about how important it is to pick up our litter so we made sure we found all the numbers! ♻️
