GLT legends! ❤️🏝️ Unfortunately also my brothers @rastalandTV main laptop is in need of a fix so while we sort that I would like to tell a story of my @Nifty_Island airdrop… its gonna be a wild one so buckle up amigos! 💪🏻🍻 So mostly because of a 18 month brutal work grind in Iceland as kitchen chefs (which we never did before that in our lives lol) we earned a decent budget for us to follow our passions of gaming for me and trading for him! One warm January day here in Tenerife on 18 or 19th my brother woke me up screaming TURN ON YOUR LAPTOP somethings happening! 🤣 Of course it was Nifty open beta. I jumped out of the bed and started downloading.. there were a bunch of us there so i had to wait in line to get in and bro when i got in.. theres no really other feeling like turning on @Nifty_Island fr! 😍 For a little while I played and some irl stuff happened so for a week or so i didnt, but my bro kept telling me theres guys playing in this group called bloomsquad and they really want you to jump in too 😍 thats how i met first bunch of people I can easily call friends now! ❤️ We played intensely but with time the group split and everyone kind of went their own direction so for a while I was kind of guildless if you might say and just went around exploring things! It doesnt take long playing Nifty to stumble upon the legendary group of @IslandRaid and they made the game feel even more next level with awesome chats, friendly laughs and cool games while earning that $ISLAND which then was airdrop points hehe! We had our ups and downs but its was going well until our beloved doggo, Sharky started dying while we both were gaming until he passed away in our hands in a couple o seconds! 🥹 My brother was his main owner and knew Sharky for longer aswell as he had girl problems so he fell into a deep depressiom, I did my best to try and keep us afloat but wasnt doing very well myself so with silly decisions and my brother sleeping in his chair for months and crying himself to sleep as well as me acting self destructively at times we fucked up our health quite a bit as well as our finances… Airdrop was still going at around wave 2 and thats when @MarsCatsVoyage, @ChimpersNFT started really cooking and as well as meeting some amazing people that helped we also won some amazing prizes and a bit of luck that saved our asses later down the way! I kept grinding and started really closing in on top players, for a moment even was holding the nr 1 earning player in nifty monthly and weekly leaderboards! ❤️ It was tough and we had more crazy moments like drunk neighbours attacking and wanting to steal our stuff, rain coming trough the roof and us having to survive with low food and supplies! But we pulled through and when airdrop went live for a couple of minutes my airdrop was worth close to 300k USD but because of some errors we managed to get our tokens when they were worth around 20k after the first dip! The plan all along was to leave half invested and with the rest fix up our health which was going worse, we went on a vacation to Latvia to visit his family and see doctors but thats when my brother literally crumbled in my hands and after being brutally misguided about treatments and costs in a couple of months we lost all of our valuable assets and we had nowhere but to turn but our web3 friends! 🥹 You guys… have been saving us and motivating us and fighting with us this brutal battle and even tho Ive worked with and met tens of thousands of people in my life i can easily say you guys are the best, the best by a long shot.. Thanks @charl3s and @ZunkZunkZunk for joining all of us in this awesome gamer group… I just want to say… Believe in something… ❤️🏝️
