Why @variational_io points will be worth $100 — full thesis.
Before we start, bookmark this so you don't lose it later.
Let's do the math first:
Points distribution runs until end of Q3, per the docs.
That means ~9M points at TGE.
I expect a 25-30% genesis drop. Why?
The team has repeatedly praised how well Hyperliquid rewarded its community, and with 50% of total $VAR supply reserved for community rewards, dropping less than Lighter (25%) wouldn't make sense if Variational wants to be the first real Hyperliquid competitor long-term.
So, to hit $100 per point at launch, $VAR needs a $900M market cap — or $3-3.5B FDV.
Why do I think that's achievable?
Let's compare it to a direct competitor: $LIT, trading at $2.5B FDV.
Variational already beats it on both core metrics:
→ Open interest: $1.26B vs. $880M
→ Net revenue: $1.27M vs. $860K (bi-weekly)
That's 40%+ better than Lighter — on both fronts.
And here's the thing: APIs aren't even live yet.
No bots, no market makers, no quants.
Just manual traders.
Variational is still in private beta (invite-only) and months away from TGE.
Phase 2 & 3 of RWAs haven't even launched — thousands of new RWAs and drastically reduced slippage are still ahead.
So there are still countless catalysts left that could significantly grow current metrics before TGE even happens.
But let's stay conservative.
Even if $VAR launched today, its metrics alone justify a $3.5B FDV — 40% higher than $LIT's $2.5B valuation, matching how much Variational outperforms Lighter in open interest and net revenue.
That would value $VAR at ~5% of $HYPE.
For perspective: when $LIT launched last year, it was worth 10% of $HYPE.
That means:
→ The whole perp dex sector is growing fast.
→ $VAR wouldn't be overvalued at $3.5B.
$100 per point doesn't sound so crazy anymore, right?
And I don't think it stops there.
Sure, it could dip or consolidate post-TGE like most airdrops do.
But that doesn't change the long-term picture.
Variational is taking on-chain RWAs to a new level.
Instead of building a new orderbook and bootstrapping liquidity per RWA market (like CLOB DEXs such as Hyperliquid), Variational plugs directly into existing TradFi liquidity.
TradFi has spent decades building deep orderbooks.
Why compete with that when you can tap into it instead?
This lets Variational skip the costly market-maker incentive game — and scale to list far more RWA markets, way faster.
TradFi liquidity isn't even live yet (coming soon in Phase 2). And already, 25% of current open interest comes from RWAs alone.
That ratio only grows once TradFi liquidity gets injected and thousands of new RWA markets go live — positioning Variational as the venue for price discovery on weekends, off-hours, holidays, and beyond.
Variational was never a cheap Hyperliquid clone.
It's actually the first real competitor to Hyperliquid for RWA market share — with a model that scales better.
And the team is more than stacked to execute on this vision.
@variational_lvs, CEO of Variational, studied mathematics at a top US university — at age 12.
He moved to Columbia at 18, worked at Google and Goldman Sachs, then co-founded quant trading firm Qu Capital in 2017 with @edward_yu_var (co-founder of Variational).
Beyond the founders, the team brings experience from Google, Meta, Virtu, IMC, and Jane Street.
A product is only as good as its team — and Variational is stacked on both ends.
If this doesn't have you FOMOing into points, you must hate money.
~10 weeks left until points distribution ends.
APIs aren't live yet. Use this opportunity to stack as many points as you can.
You'll regret not acting on this in a few months.
An invite code is required to access the private beta — so you might as well use the one with the best perks.
Code OMNIBASESOL gives you the highest available points boost (15% instead of the usual 12%): omni.variational.io/?ref=OMN…
And people still don't wanna believe me that it's not too late to earn Variational points.
This will be very obvious in hindsight.
Var mode.
it's still suprisingly ez to get into top activity leaderboard on Variational, only 500m / 30D top #20 threshold
Honestly expected easily +50% more concentrated top at this point, API might push it a bit more

Slow week, still earned +104 points on Variational this week.
Probably gonna get smashed by @wronguser000 casually clearing over 2k points again this week xD
But I wanna remind you that you shouldn’t compare yourself to others. There are always people earning more than you.
You should focus on improving yourself every week and try to learn from the people above you.
That’s how you climb to the top and eventually make it.
A bit of a spiritual points update this week, but I felt it was necessary, especially now that we’re heading into another bull market.
Long story short: when you see individuals like wronguser, aka frog, go so hard on a project, earning ~1.5% of the weekly points on a protocol doing $20B+ in weekly volume, you shouldn’t fade.
You don’t want to be sidelined from the biggest airdrop of this year.
So if you don’t have any Variational points yet, make sure to change that right now:
omni.variational.io/?ref=OMN… (18% boost)
Note: organic trading is rewarded with the most points, so I’d simply move most of my perps activity over to Variational to stack a few points while performing your usual trades.

If you are, or have been, an active perps trader on Hyperliquid or Lighter, you might be eligible for up to $500,000+ in rewards.
Variational started the On-Chain Trader Rewards Program to onboard new perps enthusiasts to the platform.
People come over, sign up to claim their rewards, notice Variational is a great perps DEX to trade on, and then choose to stay or leave (which is also totally fine).
But as a trader, you can only win here.
If you’re eligible for rewards, you can simply claim them and leave Variational if you don’t want to trade there.
But convince yourself first before judging. I know a few friends of mine who are using Variational daily now, but when I first talked to them about it, they were like “nah, won’t use another incentives-driven perps dex.”
That’s exactly the mistake people make. They think Variational is like the other 100 new perp dexs launching with the sole purpose of running a points program and attracting farmers.
Variational is different though.
They offer the cheapest execution cost for RWAs through TradFi Swaps on-chain, the best rates for crypto majors like BTC compared to Hyperliquid or Lighter, and 550+ markets with up to 50x leverage and zero fees (the largest variety of assets listed across any perps DEX).
To claim your reward, you first need to create an account on Variational:
omni.variational.io/?ref=OMN…
You don’t necessarily have to use my code to join, but you’d be leaving money on the table not doing that, since it offers the best perks. A ref code is required to join anyway, as Variational is still invite-only.
Next, go to the “Competitions” tab in the upper bar and click “On-Chain Traders,” or use this link once you’ve created an account to be redirected there directly:
omni.variational.io/trader-r…
Then check every address with an active perps history to see if you’re eligible, and claim your reward.
I’ve helped people earn over $10,000 through the Variational On-Chain Trader Rewards Program so far, and every single one of them was shocked how easy it was.
Try it and convince yourself. It genuinely takes under a minute to check if you’re eligible.
If you still have any questions, lmk in the comments 👇

I often get asked “who will use Variational if there are no incentives?”
This is the perfect example and the reason I started using Variational in the first place.
They have so many niche assets listed with up to 50x leverage that you won’t find anywhere else (CEXs excluded, because no one uses that shit in 2026).
There are literally endless opportunities to make money on these niche assets, because no one is paying attention to them.
I didn’t catch this solana:DvjbEsdca43oQcw2h3HW1CT7N3x5vRcr3QrvTUHnXvgV short unfortunately, but if you were locked in enough like my homie @0xasrequired, you would have found it by filtering based on 24h change and looking at assets that pumped extraordinarily.
Most of them only pump suddenly because of a short squeeze, and you get the opportunity to short this shit to zero, only on Variational.
While paying zero fees.
Isn’t that amazing?
For these kinds of moments, having a Variational account is a must, because you could have made a lot of money if you were prepared.
Your job as a trader here is to make money, not marry your day-1 perps dex.
I was a hardcore Hyperliquid user myself, and Lighter after that, but I don’t see a single reason why you shouldn’t be using Variational.
You’ve got over 550 assets listed, with up to 50x leverage, among them nearly 20 SWAPs with deep TradFi liquidity, all while paying zero fees.
Create a Variational account asap and be prepared next time:

wow i should've just shorted solana:DvjbEsdca43oQcw2h3HW1CT7N3x5vRcr3QrvTUHnXvgV despite the funding
-50% in 2.5hrs = 500% on 10x lev on your margin
and you only paid 1 funding payment of 3.8% on your notional (38% on your margin)
so if you shorted $1000 margin with 10x lev, you paid $380 and made $6000 = $5620 profit
you only get these opportunities on @variational_io, as required.

That @kimchi1x guy is the biggest larp on the internet.
He got rich by deploying rugs.
So essentially, he is a sophisticated online thief.
Yet people still believe he is a “good trader”.
Don’t get fooled by his shiny lifestyle, it’s only a fancy frame put on a piece of 💩
Once PRO is live and OMNI has scaled further with more SWAP listings, I genuinely see Variational consistently generating $1M+ daily revenue.
LIT and HYPE are currently trading at an 80-100x FDV/revenue ratio. Apply that same ratio to VAR, and fair value lands far above $30B.
And $1M daily revenue isn’t copium.
They’re already generating $250K daily net revenue with OMNI alone, while still in private beta, with no API live yet, under 20 SWAP listings, and PRO not even live, despite PRO being expected to end up being the larger business.
Let that sink in.
Variational will retire a lot of people, but only the ones smart enough to connect the dots and put in the work.
You probably have about 2 months left to earn points.
That’ll be the wisest decision you make this year, and I mean that genuinely, because I want my community to win.

For most users, execution costs = fees + spread.
Exchange fees and thin on-chain orderbooks can eat into your returns on every trade.
On Variational, zero-fee trading meets TradFi-quality liquidity. Right now a $25K order on US30-SWAP has a total execution cost of 0.0005%.

If you see this and still don’t have any Variational points, let me tell you this:
You will be sidelined from the biggest airdrop not only of this year but also in crypto history.
The timeline will be filled with so many 6-7 figure airdrops, and you’ll cope so hard that you missed THE generational airdrop.
These numbers are all without APIs being live, which means no bots, quants or market makers are trading on Variational yet.
Those make up the majority of volume on other DEXs like Hyperliquid, which means current metrics on Variational will at least double after API launch.
There are only 15 Swap markets live, with predictable funding (flat at around 5% annually) and the lowest execution cost of any on-chain venue.
Just imagine what happens once hundreds or thousands of Swap markets are live, markets that have never been listed on-chain before, with APIs live so that market makers, quants and bots come in to arb inefficiencies and hedge their positions.
The potential for Variational Swaps is endless.
So the next time you hear something like “it’s all farmed up, metrics will dump -90% after TGE,” be sure that person is sidelined and knows nothing about the product.
Swaps are a true 0→1 innovation for on-chain RWA derivatives.
You’ll see the whole thesis unfold in 2027 once institutions and TradFi move to Variational to trade Swaps, but it’ll be too late by then.
I’ve been earning points at a consistent $10-12 cost per point, even now that volumes have jumped a lot, so don’t let people tell you it’s too late.
Btw that’s the equivalent of buying $VAR at a $400M FDV.
Easiest 10-100x opportunity in the market right now.
Don’t overthink it. Just start earning Variational points today and watch the magic unfold over the next 12 months.

Once in a while, every 2-3 years, there’s a project that’s extraordinary on all fronts.
Your only job is to identify it and figure out the most efficient way to profit from it.
SOL in 2021, Hyperliquid points in 2023, and now Variational points in 2026.
All have very talented and hungry teams, and a great product with insanely high demand and TAM.
Honestly, you don’t need to know more than that. The most important variables in any successful crypto investment are the team and the product.
If both are extraordinarily good, the rest resolves itself.
Look at the SOL chart in 2021, or even the HYPE chart after TGE when people thought there was no upside left. You had several months to accumulate at very low prices before the violent repricing to the upside happened.
I think we’ll get the same opportunity on VAR again after TGE. But remember what I said in the second sentence?
Your job is to find the “most efficient” way to profit from it, and right now that’s points.
Taking my average cost per point this week, I was able to acquire VAR at a ~$400M valuation (32% genesis airdrop, ~11M points at TGE, $10-12 cost per point).
Looking at all available pre-market prices and prediction markets like Polymarket, the market is pricing in a launch at $1-1.5B.
I think the market is still slightly wrong and VAR will launch a bit higher, consolidate to wash out airdrop sellers, and then slowly grind up to fair value.
But let’s say the market is right. Even then, you’re much better off earning points now than waiting for VAR to launch, because you get a 3-4x better entry, or a 65-75% discount.
The discount gets even bigger if you use code OMNIBASESOL to join Variational, since it gives you the maximum 18% points boost:
omni.variational.io/?ref=OMN…
You need a code to join anyway, since Variational is still invite-only, so you might as well use the one with the best perks and not leave money on the table.

$HYPE and $VAR are the most obvious tokens to outperform any other asset in the top 100.
The revenue meta isn’t just a “meta”.
People are finally realizing that no one wants to buy your dogshit L2 token generating $2 in daily revenue.
Institutions and TradFi investors are getting more interested in crypto, but they want to invest in projects they actually understand.
Projects with real, steadily growing revenue, a huge TAM and a visionary team.
Hyperliquid and Variational are the only two tokens that fit this criteria.
There aren’t many bidable tokens out there.
TradFi will bid the winners only. Choose wisely.
HyperVariational.
