Fun fact: It's not like just govt. trusts itself. @COLDCARDwallet did trusted itself with seed. It's not a security issue, it's a seed issue. Portable seed is the issue. @shiftfdn is built differently in the sense that there is no portable seed. The single most valuable target in a traditional wallet both software and hardware, a portable secret that grants control from anywhere, simply does not exist in Shift.
