Another bombshell on the billion dollar OSAP scandal.
Over 8,300 OSAP applications came from just THREE IP addresses. The Ford government was warned as early as 2023 and received over 220 tips, complaints and referrals since January 2024.
They had the warnings. They refused to act until Oct 2026. Now students are paying the price.
We need a full forensic audit.

Tomorrow much of the world’s political attention will be fixed on the United States and its midterm elections. At the same time, Canada’s Prime Minister will be participating in Commonwealth events hosted by His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
That coincidence struck me because of something I saw in Hanna a few weeks ago.
During my 50th high school reunion, I spent time inside Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25. I went upstairs and started taking photographs, partly because Remembrance Day was approaching and partly because the room contained a remarkable collection of Canadian history. There were medals, military photographs, honour rolls, old newspapers, the Canadian flag and the Union Jack. On one wall was the official photograph of King Charles III, King of Canada, hanging beside the Legion crest.
The photograph is there for a reason.
Canada is a constitutional monarchy. King Charles III is Canada’s Head of State and the personal embodiment of the Canadian Crown. The Crown is not simply another name for the individual who happens to be King. It is part of the constitutional structure of Canada itself. The authority to govern is vested in the Crown and exercised through our democratic institutions; Parliament consists of the King, the Senate and the House of Commons. Governments change. Prime ministers change. Premiers change. The Crown continues.
That is worth remembering tomorrow when our Prime Minister attends events hosted by the King of Canada.

When my colleague Jamie West showed me this ad from Doug Ford’s government, he couldn’t stop laughing.
Jamie spent 17 years working in mines, and in the photo he spotted pickaxes, no safety gear and half a dozen violations of Ontario’s own safety rules.
That’s exactly why he wrote his Mining Awareness Week bill, and when it comes up for a vote on December 9th, Ford’s cabinet should be first in line to support it.

The Ford Conservatives voted down @OntLiberal MPP @LFairclo’s motion calling for an Auditor General investigation into the OSAP scandal.
They announced they would vote against it before even hearing the debate.
So much for transparency & accountability.
