Time to post my biannual “how artificially compressed are British wages”.
Rising minimum wage and a 50k+ p/a tax bracket that runs to 40% of earnings, and hasn’t adjusted for inflation. This form of artificial wage compression has turned everyone in Britain into low productivity tax cattle - you have zero incentive to become anything other here.
This is also a form of ambition and productivity compression.

In Scotland it kicks in at £43,633. Earning 58% more than the minimum wage makes you a "high earner" in Scotland.
But apparently we live in a neoliberal free market dystopia where the private sector stomps over workers unimpeded.

10 days after Willie Collum had to call Ayr United to accept accountability for an error.
Matthew MacDermid is rewarded with being appointed VAR for Hearts vs Rangers on Wednesday night.
We can’t wait to hear the rationale for this.

💙 Today, we remember the great Walter Smith.
On the fifth anniversary of his passing, we remember with immense affection one of the greatest figures in Rangers Football Club's history.
It’s a blatant red card.
Why do we do this up here? I’d be saying exactly the same if Raskin made that tackle.
It’s unfortunate because Fotheringham wins the ball, but that doesn’t change the fact the challenge endangers an opponent.
Let’s stop this shite.

The club would like to thank all supporters who purchased tickets, and looks forward to a strong Rangers support getting behind the team next Saturday.
Not their responsibility but Rangers should just pay a company to clean all the drains on edmiston drive & at the roundabout
Thought he was brilliant today
Needs a consistent run of games to see the best of him

Terrible tackle by St Johnstone player. Whole stadium goes ‘oooh’. Referee doesn’t even give a foul. Called over by VAR to check. Red card.
Everybody in the STADIUM knew it was a red immediately…bar the referee 🤦♂️
