Chainlink is today’s equivalent of Microsoft in 1990. At that time, personal computers were still primarily the domain of hobbyists and tinkerers rather than the backbone of enterprise operations. The release of Windows 3.0 changed that trajectory. It established the standard against which hardware (PCs) was built and provided the platform on which essential business applications, such as email, word processing, and spreadsheets, could run reliably. In doing so, Microsoft created an operating system that catalyzed the enterprise shift from physical to digital processes. Chainlink is driving a similar transformation. By establishing the core standards upon which critical onchain applications are being built, it enables enterprises to evolve from digital finance to on-chain finance. Blockchain is no longer the exclusive realm of cypherpunks; it is becoming integrated into the infrastructure of major financial institutions, including those on Wall Street. If you believe that global finance will ultimately migrate onchain, then Chainlink is positioned to become the operating system of that new financial world. “History Doesn’t Repeat Itself, but It Often Rhymes” – Mark Twain

Yes, we are early with RWAs outside stablecoins being in the ~$20Bn range, but it is also inevitable that institutional tokenization across a connected set of chains and existing systems takes hold and reinvents the entire financial system. It is inevitable and will happen slowly and then all at once, just like the internet.
Tokenization is shaping the next evolution of global markets. In @TheEconomist, Larry Fink and Rob Goldstein discuss how tokenization can modernize market infrastructure, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and access by connecting traditional and digital finance. Read more:

Back in 2017 I tried to speak this as a reality. Now we are here, close to 8 years later from when I first bought my bag of $LINK After all this time and PA, I still think this is a future trillion dollar token, ignoring all time horizons.

Pretty funny watching all the chain maxis debate if these new corporate chains (Stripe, Google, Robinhood, etc) are good/bad for this or that chain Maybe, maybe not But objectively speaking, more chains = strictly good for Chainlink $LINK - More chains that need Chainlink service deployments → directly monetized via Scale program → fueling LINK buybacks - More chains that need Data Feeds / Streams to bootstrap DeFi ecosystems (e.g. lending markets, perps, etc) - More chains that need CCIP to solve fragmentation and enable cross-chain asset mobility across ecosystems - More chains that require institutional integration → more demand for blockchain abstraction layer infrastructure (CRE) - More chains that add business workflow complexity → more demand for a global orchestration layer (CRE) that spans chains, legacy systems, and oracle services etc, etc It doesn’t matter if these chains are L1 or L2, public or private, permissioned or permissionless They all need Chainlink services to be successful and the growing complexity of chains simply further justifies the value of Chainlink as a global orchestration layer

Okay, fine. Let me explain why I've been so bullish on $LINK I was in Zurich, deep in the financial district, wearing a tuxedo two sizes too tight from my ex-girlfriend’s cousin’s wedding. I was meeting my old buddy, Slick Rick, who used to run an Excel-only hedge fund and now claims he’s “chain-agnostic” but only tweets about Chainlink. We meet in this underground Swiss bank that doubles as a speakeasy. You walk in, and the bartender scans your retina, asks your Ethereum wallet address, and gives you a martini if your net worth exceeds 8 digits. I barely made it in thanks to a mispriced NFT and a leveraged LINK long that had miraculously survived. There, in a private booth covered in dark velvet and reckless ambition, we saw him, the Chainlink Oracle King himself. Sergey Nazarov. No socks, velvet slippers, full wizard robe, sipping chamomile tea like it’s a 20-year Macallan. He was surrounded by lawyers, bankers, and three AI-powered alpacas that blinked in Morse code. Every time one blinked, someone on Wall Street got liquidated. I approached him, hands trembling like a Binance server on launch day. “Sergey... is it true? Did you really build a protocol that lets literal boomers unlock trillions in idle capital... by turning real-world assets into onchain yield monsters?” He didn’t speak at first. Just reached into his robe and pulled out a golden USB stick shaped like the LINK logo. He tossed it to the floor. The moment it hit the marble, a trapdoor opened beneath us. Suddenly we’re in this hidden vault, floor-to-ceiling screens showing SWIFT messages, DeFi TVLs, central bank memos, and TikToks of people explaining APYs in anime voices. In the middle stood a massive glowing node with a pulsing blue core. It looked alive. Sergey finally spoke, voice calm but undeniable: "While the world memed, I linked. While they farmed vapor, I connected reality. This is The Reserve. Every offchain payment, every government subsidy, every JP Morgan invoice, they all flow through here now. We built the pipes. Now we own the water.” Just then, a bunch of Goldman Sachs interns burst in wearing ski masks, trying to halt the transition. Without flinching, Sergey clapped twice. The node blinked. Instant liquidation. Their TradFi wallets turned to dust. One of them screamed, “MY ROTH IRA!” before being sucked into the Chainlink-powered abstraction layer. Back in the speakeasy, Slick Rick whispered, “They don’t get it. This isn’t just DeFi. It’s financial conquest. Chainlink isn’t an oracle network, it’s a liquidity black hole. Every real-world asset ends here.” I stared at my drink. It turned blue. And that’s why I no longer buy fartcoins. I’m going long on $LINK, baby.

I am truly impressed by the @realDonaldTrump administration's thoughtful approach to helping the blockchain industry achieve its full potential in the united states and beyond. I think the president's clear placing of our industry as a national priority will be seen as a critical and historic moment for our industry and for the united states financial system's role globally. This recent report highlights some of the key points that the white house has been considering. It is telling that the first few pages of the report are about oracles and clearly highlights some of the great work that the Chainlink community has been doing to bring smart contracts to the next stage of their evolution, clearly mentioning the Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP).
TODAY: The White House has featured oracles as a key technology in its new Digital Asset Report, highlighting how Chainlink is critical infrastructure for powering stablecoins, tokenized funds, & the onchain economy. whitehouse.gov/wp-content/up… We and our entire industry are immensely grateful to President Trump (@realDonaldTrump), @SecScottBessent, @DavidSacks, @BoHines, and the President‘s Working Group on Digital Asset Markets for their leadership in advancing bipartisan digital asset innovation in the United States. The Trump Administration's thoughtful approach to our industry’s adoption and growth has created a new era for both our industry and the United States financial future. The @WhiteHouse report outlines the U.S. government’s approach to digital assets, proposing a clear regulatory framework for their issuance by addressing market structure, oversight, and consumer protection. This landmark policy initiative underscores a growing global consensus that oracle infrastructure is critical for secure, interoperable, and compliance-ready digital assets, which are key for the blockchain industry to reach its full potential. In addition to the Chainlink team’s many ongoing meetings in D.C., this report clearly affirms the significant policy momentum Chainlink has strategically worked to support for years, both in D.C. and globally. In a single platform, Chainlink enables governments, financial institutions, and Web3 developers to overcome the three most critical challenges in deploying institutional-grade blockchain applications in a regulated environment: 1. Delivering verifiable data onchain enables the creation of hyper-reliable government and institutional-grade blockchain applications by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of critical data. 2. Connecting public chains, private chains, and legacy systems into a unified network unlocks next-generation financial markets and streamlines digital asset operations. 3. Enabling regulatory requirements and policy controls to be embedded directly into smart contracts allows for programmatic compliance with regulations, such as KYC/AML, jurisdictional restrictions, and transaction limits, all while preserving user privacy. By establishing the foundational standards needed for secure and compliant digital asset infrastructure, Chainlink is accelerating digital asset adoption in America and powering the future of U.S. financial leadership.

Stablecoin regulation in the US will kick off a wave of new stablecoins in the US and all over the world. They will all need proof of reserves and cross-chain connectivity to be used as a source of payment for the growing digital asset economy and tokenized funds. Chainlink is the only platform that provides proof of reserves and cross-chain connectivity in one system. This is before we look at the need for on chain identity and the ability to use stablecoins as a form of payment with minimal friction when fulfilling compliance requirements. Chainlink will then be the only platform to provide proof of reserves, cross-chain connectivity and on-chain identity/compliance in a single system. As the complexity of blockchain transactions grows with more data, connectivity, compliance and other requirements, Chainlink will be being built as the only platform that can fulfill all those requirements in a single unified system of transactional standards. All of these Chainlink capabilities can then be easily configured, deployed and managed in one piece of workflow code on CRE. So you're getting all the services you need to prove reserves, connect across chains, solve compliance/identity issues and manage all this complexity with a single piece of code, in one system.

What if all Stablecoins, RWAs and CBDCs start being connected to each other and to all the world's digital assets, across all chains, on one platform/standard set of protocols, because it has all the data connections, identity connections and cross-chain connections they need to transact successfully? Sounds exciting to me....
